While you're there, you're in denial, you think you can do it but you cannot." Guenther Steiner is a former F1 principal and quite a popular one, who was leading Haas team. An F1 team trying to punch above their weight with some nice results in some seasons but always struggling to develop the car because of the budget. What draw my attention is what he was saying few days ago. F1 Singapore Grand Prix last weekend and for preparing the strategy they were looking on the data. Everybody was taking into consideration the 100% probability of safety car, looking back on the previous races. Surprise or not, you know how it is with predictions… no safety car on Sunday. It seems a possible explanation it is the change with the 3rd drs zone that facilitated overtakes and reduced riskier ones.
