If you are having problems attracting great potential employee candidates or keeping the ones that you have, make sure you provide competitive compensation and benefits. Employers need to ensure that salaries and benefits packages are competitive within the industry to attract and retain top talent. Regularly review compensation structures and consider offering additional perks or incentives to reward loyalty and performance. Great resources for this are your state Podiatric Medical Association and also through hiring companies like Indeed. If you have a local Podiatric Group don’t be afraid to ask what the doctors are paying staff and where they have found good potential employees to interview. Also, check with your hospital, even though you may not be able to pay what they pay you have many other benefits that you can offer that would compensate for the less dollar amount. Remember candidates today are looking for some flexibility and are willing to take less of an hourly wage to get better hours. A common trap that doctors fall into is feeling pressure to sign contracts within a certain timeframe because of employer’s demands. Doctors end up believing that if they don't sign the contract right away, the offer might get pulled by the employer. The reality is, the pressure from employers is artificial. Employers want to fill the open position quickly, but that sense of urgency is rarely justified. I always advise my clients to ask for more time to review the contract. Employers have NEVER declined my doctors’ requests for more time, up to 6 weeks in some cases, to review the contract. If doctors understood that negotiating a contract is an expected part of the process, maybe they wouldn’t be so thirsty to sign bad contracts. #newjob #doctors

4 Ways Physicians Can Optimize Their Careers 💼 Fully reviewing and understanding your terms of employment before signing a contract could reveal some opportunities you are missing. There might be room for improvement in your compensation, or you could negotiate more appropriate scheduling. Here are a handful of ways that asking the right questions and improving your contract early can optimize your entire career: ▪️ Are you being paid fairly? You could deserve higher compensation if the average salary and bonus numbers for your specialty are trending upward. ▪️ Does your work schedule suit your current lifestyle? Your scheduling and call hours can often be changed to better fit your needs. ▪️ Are you concerned about future pay cuts? The right contract terms can prevent your employer from decreasing your salary or bonus numbers. ▪️ How is termination handled? Make sure your contract protects you in the event you are let go or allows you to exit the contract when necessary. Some of these contract items may not be glaring problems when you first sign, but addressing them now can save you time, money, and stress over a longer period. A combination of fair compensation and protection for the "what-ifs" will optimize your career for years to come. If you want to know more about reviewing a contract, or would like hands-on assistance with one of your own, Resolve is here to help. Many hospitals and clinics often ignore new medical employees or hire them with cheap salaries because they think they don’t know much yet 🤷♂️ and are just starting their careers. But the reality is some new employees work hard 📈 with smartness and prove they’re just as good . Once you find the potential to increase their salary according to their level As a consultant, my advice is, when hiring, to remember to look at what someone can really do, not just their degrees 🎓 or past jobs. Fresh ideas are important, too! #jobs #medicalcarrier #hospitalstaffs

When a healthcare position remains vacant for up to 60 days, the costs to an organisation can be substantial. What would this mean to you? Operational inefficiencies caused by unfilled positions can lead to a 15% increase in operational costs. Practices with unfilled positions experience a 30% decline in patient satisfaction scores. Prolonged vacancies can inflate cost due to extended job postings, and additional marketing efforts to attract candidates. Practices may spend up to 50% more on overtime and temporary staff during vacancies. Each unfilled position can lead to a revenue loss of approximately £5,000 per month due to decreased patient volume and efficiency. By partnering with SHR Group UK, you can mitigate these costs through a streamlined recruitment process, ensuring that positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Partner with us today! #SHRGroupUK #HealthcareRecruitment

Yes, It's a Resignation Season! It's that time of the year, when Medical Billing Companies (Big Ones) implement Bi- Annual Increments in your Salary and Massive workforce switch companies. Question is WHY? Employees were waiting for it and will apply to different companies to get more increment. let me give you an example, let's say Sarah's salary is 1000 and she got increment of 200 from her current medical billing company , her salary now is 1200 but she will switch her job as some other medical billing company will offer let's say, 1400 once she'll apply. Got it! Now she got increment of 200 again and in Totality she had 400 more. What do you think about it, is that a smart move or a dumb move? #credentialing #medicalbilling #medicalcoding #resignation
