Day 3 of the Silicon Valley Softlanding Program Today, we tackled some essential legal topics for startups, covering everything from forming a legal entity (a Delaware C-Corp is a must for VC backing) to founder negotiations, vesting, and SAFE agreements with early investors. Our expert, Aravinda, did an incredible job, diving deep and highlighting critical steps for properly structuring a startup in the U.S. Later, we attended Stephen Kuhn's event, IP in the Age of AI, where top experts discussed key issues like copyright, training data, and protecting creations. A hot topic that emerged: how do you safeguard AI-generated code? With court cases pending, this is definitely a space to watch as tech advances. We ended the day at SAP with Domitilla Caputo (SF, LA, SD) , who shared invaluable tips on building partnerships with large enterprises, including how to get a startup’s product onto their shelf and into their marketplace. Great time being invited to speak and judge for the annual @Blackistechconference last year. I got a chance to speak to thousands in attendance in the tech start up world along with a host of VC, angel investors, and media executives. Creatively, I never imagine I would be giving my insight on building businesses, but when you have failed and succeeded as much as I have you learn a thing or two.   Advice for founders: • Solve a problem people want solved - make the solution universal • Know your numbers - the numbers tell the story • Have a close relationship with customers - customer will tell you how to improve your product
