There is no doubt that while the economic indicators are very solid, that there is a need for steeper trajectory for the psychology and optimism that really drive the economy…consumer sentiment, attitudes, things that affect patriotism and volunteerism and generally drive a positive culture. Business leaders are supporting one candidate over the other not because they’re “woke” and want to push cultural agenda, but because they know that an rising tide raises all boats. One economic plan that focuses on real change for the middle class will have a far better benefit for all than the continuously perpetuated myth of trickle down economics. These business leaders want to MAKE MORE MONEY and know they will if more people can afford their products not just because prices come down, but because they are employed, earn more, spend less on child care, build equity in real estate, and so on.

Years ago I went along on a team retreat with another business. I looked around and saw all of these managers and directors and department heads. I remember thinking, “I never want to do this.” I really liked having a small business with a tiny team. Building a big organization just seemed so hard and stressful and impersonal. But I eventually learned that if you're going to serve the masses… If you're going to impact the world… You need to build structure so that it doesn't burn you out. And then the cool part is, when you start to create a culture like this, your team will start to create the structure. There are systems in my business that I don't even understand at this point, but the people that we hired created those systems, and now they're totally running without us. The bottom line is… As an entrepreneur, focus on impact first, and don’t let the fear of team building prevent you from achieving that impact. #teambuilding #scale #businessgrowth #inc5000 #burnout #hiring

🤔 How do you choose between two great employees for a promotion? Your company structure includes just one leading role. Both of them are good choices for the role and you know that you’ll do an injustice to the one who is not chosen. And you want to be fair with them. So what should you do? If you step back for a moment, you know that two employees with the same level of skills and results should have roles at the same level. Assigning one of them a lower position would create inequity. Inequity can lead to disengagement and lower employee retention rates. Not just in theory, but for real. 👉 So, you can change your company structure and include two leading roles. You created the structure and you can modify it any time, to serve your business in the best way. For example, if you have a team of programmers and you need to choose a team leader, split the projects in two, and assign one person as team leader on certain projects and the other one on other projects. Or, if you have just one large project, split this project into two parts, and assign one person as team leader on one part and the other one on the other part. ⚡ Sometimes companies lose good people because they don't create job positions that reflect their levels of competencies and contributions. #employeemotivation #entrepreneur #businessowner #entrepreneurship

There’s a characteristic that’s common to all the best-performing businesses, particularly those that manage to grow quickly and achieve substantial scale. Without it, you’ll hit a ceiling. You may have heard of an old African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” That’s a pretty accurate reflection of what a new entrepreneurial business goes through. In the early days, as the owner you have the qualifications, skills and knowledge to be very good at what you do. You can launch quickly, build a customer base and achieve a good, profitable revenue stream. And then the business gets to the point where there just aren’t enough hours in the day for you to get everything done. To survive let alone grow any further you have no choice - you have to build a team, and there are several ways to do that without necessarily taking on full-time employees. But you do need to find people to work with who may have equally good skills or can be trained to relieve you of some of the day-to-day operational tasks that are bogging you down.
