Agree 100% that a well-integrated, coordinated, and adequately resourced public health and clinical healthcare system is critical. But until we, as a nation, address the upstream drivers of poor health outcomes in the US, state and local public health and healthcare systems alike will continue to be inundated by downstream effects of our policies and funding priorities.
