Let's be honest - Halloween is all about the candy! If you're dreading the inevitable bags and piles of candy that follows a fun night of trick or treating fear not! We've got your back with 3 tips of how to repurpose that Halloween candy in fun and healthy ways: 1. Donate to a Local Organization: Many organizations, such as shelters, food banks, and military groups, accept candy donations. This is a great way to give back to the community and ensure the candy doesn't go to waste. 2. Create a Candy Bartering System: Set up a system where children can trade candy for privileges, such as extra screen time, a special outing, or a desired toy. This helps them learn about delayed gratification and decision-making. 3. Save Candy to decorate Gingerbread Houses in the Winter months

Looking for ways to give back to your community? Here are a few….
I spent the last few days in Pennsylvania for a Marketing Strategy Meeting. Once again, I saw first-hand this credit union’s dedication to community outreach, as they’re currently managing three holiday charity projects: Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, and a donation drive for Arise Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County to assemble Christmas Eve Family Boxes. I gladly took a small donation to make sure a few kiddos at the shelter had some fun games for Christmas. What’s even more impactful is Branch Manager Lisa Magee's collaboration with Arise to offer financial education workshops. These sessions will empower women in the shelter, as well as those transitioning out, with the tools and knowledge they need to build financial independence. A big shoutout to GNC Community Federal Credit Union CEO Julia G. and her incredible team - Cheri Sabino, CCUFC, Lisa Magee and Renae Colaizzi - for their unwavering commitment to making a big difference in their community! #PeopleHelpingPeople #CreditUnionDifference #CreditUnions #CommunityOutreach

Today, Giving Tuesday, remember the child who saved stranded starfish by tossing them back into the ocean, one at a time. YOU can turn the tide against child abuse, saving one child at a time with a donation. Parents, caregivers, teachers, and youth-serving professionals are the first line of defense in preventing child abuse, and your gift, no matter the size, provides critical education. In fact, your donation can train an entire school for as little as $500. Today, YOU can protect children, families and communities. Make a difference today: https://lnkd.in/ec57KN7R #givingtuesday #childprotection

The holidays are a time to reflect, give back, and make a difference—and we’re in the final stretch of supporting Firefly Children & Family Alliance’s Hope for the Holidays campaign. At Trustpointe, we’ve made it a tradition to fill our donation box with contributions from clients, neighbors, and friends to help families in need. Last year, this program brought joy to over 1,200 children, but there’s still work to do. 𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟱𝟳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: 1. See how Advocates for Children CASA and CASA offices across the U.S. are changing children’s lives. Link below
According to National CASA, children and youth with a CASA volunteer reported higher levels of hope than those without a volunteer. A child’s hope has been linked to numerous positive outcomes such as academic success, overall wellbeing, increases in self-control, positive social relationships and optimism. You can bring this hope to a child this holiday season by supporting Advocates for Children CASA! Please consider making a donation between now and December 10 in honor of Colorado Gives Day at https://lnkd.in/gDaKTH53 Thank you for your support!
