All registered Young MPs from national parliaments can submit a proposal on a topic linked to the general theme of the Conference, "Avoiding lost generations: Preserving education and employment in all circumstances," and address the topic from a global perspective. I am delighted to announce that our joint article with my esteemed spouse, also my colleague İpek Didem Göçoğlu, and my valuable coworker Atahan Demirkol, titled "Unveiling the duality: Visiting the big questions of public administration education through qualitative insights from Türkiye," presenting a two-dimensional framework we developed and providing some answers by examining these questions based on current qualitative evidence from Türkiye, has been published in Teaching Public Administration! In the recent Pulse Survey conducted by BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University to capture the perceptions based on experiences and expectations of citizens 40 days after the July Uprising succeeded in overthrowing the autocratic government, there were questions on this topic where the overwhelming majority (over 80%) were against student and teacher politics directly linked with political parties. This is a very live topic and central to the way we shape student government, and future political leadership. We will have similar conversations on a few other topics that emerges from our survey. Listening to fascinating keynote lecture at our CITP annual conference by Italo Colantone, on the combined role of economic and cultural factors behind the anti-globalisation 'backlash' and the shift to more protectionist policy stances by both left and rightwing political parties. Sobering.

I will be unpacking high school teacher well-being in Namibia Is there a link between well-being, teacher performance and turnover intention (teachers wanting to leave the profession)? I strongly believe that if the teacher feels and functions well, their performance will improve and they will stay. I will be sharing snippets from this conference And as always, it doesn't end there- otherwise the story is very incomplete: My students and I will be sharing the findings and interventions that could come from this with the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture. And it does NOT also end there: Post this, we will avail our time, knowledge and skills to help the schools take the findings to practice (what can they do at individual and school level). This helps students add value to the communities they come from.
