We have connected them to growth capital, given them a platform like AM Summit, and advised them on commercial and strategic issues. Now – ladies and gentlemen – we have a whole new category of Danish AM startups that we will celebrate at www.amsummit.dk. On October 24th, three of the leading Danish AM start-ups will present themselves and their ideas in our big pitch competition. They will pitch in front of 1000 Summit guests and a jury with members from Danish AM Hub , AM Ventures, and Formnext - Where ideas take shape. The winner will be sent to an exclusive pitch event at Formnext – the largest AM event and exhibition in the world. Along with 12 other amazing start-ups, the three nominees have been a part of AM Growth 2024, where the companies have been nurtured and guided from idea to strong products and commercial focus. My first ARRtist #Summit now lies behind me, and there is some good and some not so god stuff to report ... let's start with the good stuff :) I really enjoyed meeting Gregor Koehler, Julia Goelles, Gerrit de Veer, Kerstin Stier, Steven Lewandowski, Antonia Cramer, Julius Schaefer, Valeska Wittgen and Peter Krause and almost meeting Tobias Hagenau ;) as well as listening to talks by Krzysztof Szyszkiewicz, Philipp Klöckner (incl the nice basement session) and Julia Goelles (again ;) But overall the experience for an early stage startup was disappointing: Let's be honest: Its a family meeting. Everybody knows everybody and 99% of the time are spent by meeting people one already knows. I met quite a few startups like me and our teamdecoder at the meeting tables, waiting for people that never showed. Following the talks an stage one gets the impression, that a "startup" is a proper company making 5m+ ARR, which also explains the entrance fee of 500 EUR - which is a lot. --- Maybe that is the positioning of the ARRtist Summit, but then it should be communicated at such: "ARRtist Summit - the family meeting for successful startups and their investors!"
