Independent artists can be discovered by anyone, anytime, anyplace. Access to art has never been better, resources to develop annd connect have also never been better. We need to stop looking at what was and start looking at what is. ‘Industry discovers artist - industry develops artist- artist grows audience’, is straight up outdated, and we are arrogant as industry if we think we have that power (particularly at an independent level) - The art is priority 1. - Communicating that art to an audience whose likely to care 2. The reality is artists don’t need industry for either. #artistdevelopment #artistmanagement #musicindustry

Artists have a unique gift for touching others on an emotional level, and that often results in a special kind of interaction with the viewer, especially in a live setting. It can be a vulnerable thing to be seen experiencing the depth of emotion that comes from connecting to a piece of art, but it reminds us even more of the power of art. Art can stir passion, soften hearts, and give us the courage to pursue our purpose. Absolutely, every artist's journey is unique, and while there may be differences in documentation, recognition, and opportunities, the potential for growth and recognition is always present. Here's how different artists can navigate their paths: Established Artists Visibility: Established artists benefit from a higher profile due to past exhibitions, awards, and critical reviews. This often leads to more opportunities for gallery shows, sales, and media coverage. Credibility: Their extensive documentation provides tangible proof of their achievements, enhancing their credibility with collectors, curators, and the public. Market Value: Recognized artists often have higher market values, making their work more desirable and collectible.
