Did you know? According to the Pew Research Center the 2018, 2020, and 2022 elections had some of the highest voter turnout rates in decades! In 2020, 66% of eligible voters turned out—the highest since 1900. Even midterm elections saw a big surge, with 2018 and 2022 having the highest turnout since the 1970s. But here’s the key: Intermittent voters—those who vote sometimes but not always—often decide the outcomes. Both political parties are closely divided, so every vote matters! 🗳️ Make a plan to vote! ℹ QUESTION: Who is eligible to vote in the 2024 VFF General Elections when the electoral role closes on 13 September 2024? ℹ ANSWER: Only eligible VFF voting members will be included in the electoral roll when it closes on 13 September 2024. Primary elections allow voters to determine which candidates compete in the general election and can be nonpartisan or partisan. In partisan primaries, voters choose the candidates they prefer for a political party to nominate in the general election. Connecticut state law stipulates that only registered party members can participate in a party's primary. A party can elect to permit unaffiliated voters to participate in its primary. Winners in primary elections in Connecticut are determined via plurality vote, meaning that the candidate with the greatest number of votes wins the election even if he or she did not win an outright majority of votes cast.

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is transforming the way elections are decided, promising a more nuanced and representative outcome. By allowing voters to rank candidates in order of preference, RCV aims to ensure that every vote counts, even if your top choice doesn’t win. But while RCV can prevent votes from being wasted on less popular candidates, it also introduces complexities that can lead to surprising results. Understanding how to navigate this system is crucial for making your vote count effectively and avoiding unintended consequences. Dive into this article to uncover the ins and outs of RCV and learn how to vote strategically in upcoming elections. https://lnkd.in/gkHzPP9p

AMERICA DECIDES: Nearly 62 million Americans have already voted in the 2024 elections. I anticipate that by Sunday, between 75 and 80 million Americans will have voted before Election Day—surpassing the 57 million who voted early in 2016 but falling short of the record-breaking 101 million early voters in 2020. Overall, I expect between 120 and 140 million Americans to vote in the 2024 elections, based on historical trends. I reached this estimate by projecting that between 61% and 63% of eligible Americans will vote in this election, slightly below the 66.8% turnout of eligible voters in 2020. Votes cast so far Democratic Votes: 25,398,880 Republican Votes: 24,779,395 Other/Independent Votes: 11,770,213
