🌟 Kicking Off the Future of Defence Innovation: SRB2 Project Last week, we proudly hosted the kick-off meeting for SRB2 at Piedrafita’s facilities, bringing together representatives from our consortium partners Repack-S, PMG Precision Mechanics Group GmbH, RHP group and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, as well as the SRB2 Project Officer at the European Commission for the European Defence Fund (EDF), and key stakeholders like the Subdirección General de Planificación, Tecnología e Innovación (SDG PLATIN) of the Spanish Ministry of Defence. The SRB 2 project is funded by the European Union and follows the success of SRB 1, which pioneered a full rotary hydropneumatic suspension combining a rotary damper and a rotary pneumatic spring, funded by the European Union as well. Our mission during this project is: ✅ Certify and qualify the technology developed during SRB1. ✅ Analyse and optimise the entire lifecycle — from the initial production to its entire in-service life. ✅ Enhance efficiency through cutting-edge equipment like DSC-HCS and enhanced sealing technology ✅ Achieve seamless modular vehicle integration, ready for commercialisation. Key highlights of SRB 2 include: 🔧 Improved efficiency through advanced lifecycle technologies such as production, QA, and reliability studies ⚙️ Development of innovative equipment, including DSC-HCS and enhanced, environmentally-friendly sealing 🚗 Modular vehicle integration for customised in-vehicle solutions This ambitious project is made possible thanks to the collaboration and support of institutions from Spain, Germany, Austria and France, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in advancing European defence innovation. We are thrilled to work together in delivering a certified and market-ready solution that will set a new standard in the sector.
