📢 There are still a little over 4 sacred hours left to donate! 4 sacred hours is plenty of time to donate and help American Indian families thrive. Generous donations on Give to the Max Day to https://lnkd.in/gpZjkQnJ allow families like these sisters to celebrate the newest additions to their families in a good way at our annual baby shower. Expecting mothers or mothers of babies up to thirteen months are invited to our annual baby shower to play games, get their pictures taken by a professional photographer, and leave AIFC with baby supplies for their little ones, like car seats and baby supplies. So far, we have raised $5,100 and counting for #GTMD24! Chi-miigwech, wophida thanka, pinagigi, much gratitude to all of you who have donated so far! #Motherandwomensgroup #OurChildrenAreSacred #babyshower #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth

Hey everyone! We've raised a big heap of funds so far, and thank you to everyone who has made it possible. But I'm hoping we can raise even more! ***For today only*** all donations to the run are being matched! Make your contributions go the extra mile (wink) and donate today. If you are not in a position to help monetarily today, I'd appreciate if you could share this post with others to help spread the word. No need to donate via my link, direct donations to Fred Hollows are also possible (but not sure if these are being matched). Why donate to Fred Hollows? To put it very briefly, could you do your job with a vision impairment or blindness? Could you support your family, or would they be supporting you? Blindness can take away everything from those affected, but you can help bring it back! Many instances of blindness are treatable. More info can be found on the Fred Hollows website. https://lnkd.in/gDjUFZre

Today is world suicide prevention day. There is an estimated 700,000 suicides per year worldwide. The impact the loss of one life has is profound, the impact of 700,000 is incomprehensible. We can make an impact #StartTheConversation #StopSuicide
Please consider donating to support the AFSP in raising awareness around suicide to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. If you're local to the capital region, join us in walking on 9/22 at Saratoga State Park!
Please support the Capital Region Walk for R.I.T.A. this fall to help #stopsuicide

Sometimes all you need is to CHANGE ONE LIFE, but CHANGE IT WELL. No matter how little you earn, you can impact one life. Stop with the excuses. It's not your Bank Account that helps, but your Heart Account. If your Heart Account is EMPTY of EMPATHY, you will never help others, even if your Bank Account is FULL. In December, we are organizing another Party With Orphans & Widows. We urge you to make a donation (school kits, toys, clothes, food, school fees payment, or financial donation). The flyer with all details will be in the comment section. #BeTheChangeYouWantToSee #LoveYourNeighbor #Donation #Help #BeGood #Care #PartyWithOrphansAndWidows

The staff in Cayambe wanted to make a trip to the beach a possibliity for the children in the Home for At Risk Children. We decided that we wanted to take the children and all of the staff to the beach to reward them for their hard work as well as to make it be a big send off for the Delps as they transition to the US for Ministry Assignment. Most all of the children in the Home have never been to the beach even though it isn’t that far away. Additionally, some of the staff members have never seen the sea as well. We want to have a retreat for the staff and the children to be able to enjoy the beach together. The Santiago Partnership has decided to support the FACE staff in achieving this dream. The budget for the trip is only $3,000. We will be receiving donations between now and the end of May (May 31st). Please designate your donation by selecting the campaign “Home for At Risk Children.” All of the donations given to the Home for At Risk Children between now and the end of the month will be designated for this initiative. Click the link below to donate. (Any proceeds received above the needed $3,000 for the beach trip budget will be allocated to General Support.) https://ow.ly/MrOZ50RmIsA #BeachTrip #SeetheSea #SantiagoPartnership #StoriesofDignity #socent #artisanjewelry #women #justwages #impinv #SVC #dometicviolenceawareness #domesticviolence #survivorsofdomesticviolence #womenempowerment #metoo #abusesurvivor #trauma #healing

In recent months, some young people who had signed up with me for a vidped failed to show up. No message before or after. I felt very frustrated by it. Part of the problem is that there is no fee to book a slot. But, I don't want any money from young people. So, here's my new condition: "To do a vidped with me, you have to donate (at least) Rs 50 to an NGO of your choice and tell me that you have done it. No receipt needed - just your word is OK. Or, if you don’t have the money, tell me that you cannot do it, and we will do the vidped without the donation. Please send this donation-confirmation message 1-2 days before your time slot. It will be a reconfirmation that you will be present for the meeting." Let's see if this reduces the no-shows. BTW, I have not had a single senior no-show - they always let me know if they cannot make it.

Countdown is on.
The Variety Bash kicks off this year in the middle of Dubbo's Western Plain Zoo at Bash's Billabong and then heads north to Queensland, following the path of the original bash 40 years ago. Along the way, we will stop off at local primary schools, where Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT will donate much-needed resources to help children in need. At each school, we dress up as Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers and hand out lightsabers to the kids. We love putting a smile on their faces. There are only three weeks until we head off to the 2024 Variety Bash. We can't wait to share our adventures with you! Show your support here ▶ https://lnkd.in/gKGh9P32 #varietybash #teamstarwars #starwars #fundraiser #adventure

Having assisted Scott and the board with their strategic planning process, I know these resources will be used effectively
We extend a huge thank you to Assistance League of Atlanta, which has recently partnered with 3Keys to donate essential items for our residents. This partnership means that our residents—many of whom arrive with little to nothing more than the clothes they are wearing—will receive welcome kits with new bedding, shower shoes, pots and pans, laundry pods, towels, and much more. Assistance League of Atlanta is also assisting with our activities program by donating supplies that enable us to continue offering meaningful activities for our residents. Partnerships like this are critical in helping us support our residents as they transition from homelessness to stability. #endhomelessness #nonprofitpartnerships

The plight of a widow in India can be devastating. Grieving, left alone to care for her children, with little or no income, and shunned as someone who embodies bad luck, her circumstances are dire. An anonymous donor has made an incredible offer that has enabled us to launch a project to provide safe and secure homes for widows and their children. We are calling it the Hearts and Homes campaign. Every dollar that is donated will be matched 100% by the donor, up to $47,000. That means that we can raise $94,000 or more toward this important cause. We are urgently asking you to make a donation to the campaign by Friday, August 30th, in any amount that you can give. Your generosity will make a world of difference for someone like Karthi. After the death of her husband, she became solely responsible for the family. Her meagre wages as a day labourer barely provide for her and her two young daughters. They live in a one-room shack with another family, where her daughters have neither space nor materials for studies. Now partnered with Save A Family Plan, she plans to raise a buffalo and goats, which will provide her family with a sustainable income. She dreams of a house with sanitary facilities, and to educate her children. Your gift will go a long way to helping someone like Karthi to provide their family with a safe and secure home in which to live and thrive. Although every house is unique, the cost to construct one is around $6,750 CAD. Please donate today and take advantage of this incredible opportunity to double your impact. You can donate at www.safp.org/donate, mail in a cheque, e-transfer to etransfer@safp.org, or give by phone at 519-672-1115 (toll-free 1-855-333-1115).
