Presenting our work in both numerical and experimental hydrodynamic at the 9th Hull Performance & Insight Conference (HullPIC) 2024. Working on surface physics/chemistry is one of the method #Jotun has opted in curbing CO2 emissions in the ship industry. #NavalHydro has been used to estimate frictional resistance of available and newly developed coatings. Our paper showed that ship performance can be considerably improved by using #Jotun innovative low friction coatings.

These include thermodynamics, statistical physics, and chemical kinetics. In particular, the review focuses on the role of the chemical freeze-out line and its relation to the concept of valence-quark percolation. The review ends with some recollections of Jean Cleymans.

In this paper, using a hybrid approach based on Lifshitz theory of Casimir–van der Waals interactions and corrections due to the shape of the nanoparticles, it is shown that for non-spherical nanoparticles, the usual Hamaker approach overestimates the magnitude of the interaction. In particular, the study considers nanoplates of different thicknesses, nanocubes assembled with their faces parallel to each other, and tilted nanocubes, where the main interaction is between edges.
