Simplify access to utility poles in an emergency with the U-Cover. 🚨 Most metal hand-hole covers become an obstacle for emergency crews. Rusted screws, layers of duct tape, and more can slow crews down while they pry off normal covers, costing them precious time. ⌛ An emergency crew supervisor created the U-Cover to fix that. This cover is reusable, durable, and secured from the outside of the pole, keeping the public safe from high-voltage wires. It's so simple that even one person can install it on the pole. Don't let the crews in your city be slowed by ineffective covers. 👉 Order the U-Cover: https://lnkd.in/epiPHiYs #municipality #publicsafety #electricalsafety #utilities #safetyfirst

Simply safe with the U-Cover. 👌 When maintaining utility poles, the last thing you need is complications. That’s why the U-Cover is designed to secure from outside the pole, eliminating any exposed metal inside. This approach reduces electrical hazards and streamlines the installation process. By avoiding internal metal components, the U-Cover minimizes corrosion and eliminates parts that could conduct electricity inside of the pole that houses high voltage wires. It keeps maintenance crews and the public safer, just by covering up those wires with a durable plastic solution. 🔥 👉 Learn more about how the U-Cover can streamline your utility maintenance tasks and enhance overall safety: https://lnkd.in/eqkQGXQd #municipality #publicsafety #electricalsafety #utilities #safetyfirst

The following incident illustrates the importance of confirming that a written procedure is in place for working around overhead powerlines and required exclusion zones. While clearing an access track, a 25-tonne excavator’s boom arm hit a 12,700 V overhead powerline, causing it to fall to the ground. No injuries were reported despite the incident being prompted by wet weather the previous night. Original material courtesy of Safer Together (Australia). When was your last check on those "out of reach" assets? Inspecting pipes on easements, close to stream beds, or nestled in the forest can pose a myriad of difficulties. However, with the SL-RAT, you can traverse to areas previously unreachable by conventional inspection methods. #smartsewers #maintenancematters #acousticinspection #conditionbasedmaintenance

Have you ever looked down at your street and noticed colorful spray paint markings spread across your roads, sidewalks, or even your yard? While these markings may look like a secret code, they serve as an important way to pinpoint underground infrastructure such as gas, electricity, and water lines. In recognition of Locator Safety and Appreciation Week, we're decoding the meaning behind each utility color and how this universal coding system prevents damage to existing utilities and keeps everyone safe: https://bit.ly/444g6OT. Tilson's Locators play a central role in preventing utility strikes by recognizing utility markings and providing guidance to our crews on how to avoid existing utilities - protecting our teams and communities from excavation hazards. #onamission 🚧 Remember to always dig with care and #Call811 at least 48 hours before digging to have utilities marked.
