🗞️ If you're in my niches of #fintech, #proptech and #legaltech, the biggest prize in earned #media is getting in The Australian Financial Review. 🏆 (Even better, you get a long-form feature article, with a photo, and the story makes the print edition!) Since joining Reputation Edge in 2018, I've delivered one or more impressions in "The Fin" for: Revolut TrueLayer MOGOPLUS Monoova Open Finance ANZ Mindhive Downsizer PropHero, and Proptech Association Australia. On 3 occasions, getting in "The Fin" was the first piece of media coverage I ever secured for the client! Quick wins can happen. But I can't promise them. 🧞♀️ And I can't deliver them to order, even if I do have a "magical" reputation. Moreover, it should really just be viewed as one trophy asset within a humming #PR program that also includes: lead magnets, blogs, OpEds, social media posts, awards entries, speaking engagements, event support, and more. The best PR pros become part of your #marketing team to help you craft the perfect product positioning and go-to-market messages, so you can reach your target audience, get them engaging with your brand, and persuade them to convert into a revenue-generating client. #JenniferJoinsTheDots #GoToMarket #GTM

What an inspiring evening at the #FintechMarketing Hub winter meetup! 🌟 Last night, our founder Sara Salim سارة سالم had the privilege of joining an incredible gathering of fintech #marketing leaders at Rise, created by Barclays in London. The discussions were insightful, inspiring, and packed with forward-thinking strategies for 2025 and beyond. What did we gather from the event? 🔹 Community first: Max Rothery from Finimize shared how their focus on building a strong, empowered community is transforming #B2Bmarketing. It’s a reminder that great marketing is about fostering real connections, not just driving metrics. 🔹 Global meets local: Natalie Williams from Airwallex emphasised the importance of balancing a centralised strategy with localised #insights. Even in smaller aspects, such as hosting an event for your business in different countries, understanding local cultures and preferences is key. And at Mama’s Media, we couldn't agree more as we thrive on creating tailored strategies for diverse #audiences. 🔹 From online to offline: Alessandro Onano, CMO at Moneyfarm highlighted how campaigns and #performancemarketing strategies are great for building initial trust, but it’s the offline touchpoints that solidify relationships. A seamless online-to-offline journey is where true #brandloyalty is built. 🔹 Last but not least, the power of #branding: Natalie explained that strong branding doesn’t just attract customers—it attracts talent, too. People want to work with companies they resonate with. A powerful brand can inspire both customers and future team members to align with your vision and values. The #fintech world is bursting with innovation, and events like these are a great reminder that branding, engagement, and strategy must work together to create lasting impact. 💬 How are you planning to build deeper connections with your audience in 2025? Let’s chat in the comments—we’d love to hear your thoughts! #FintechMarketing #RiseByBarclays #MamasMedia #DigitalMarketing #BrandStrategy #CommunityBuilding #marketingagency #marketingagencylondon #B2BAgency

Our President and Co-Founder Steve Round features in this months' Intelligent Fin.tech magazine (page 32-34) looking at how culture in banking can stifle technological development. Our research has evidenced the risk-averse culture in the banking world and a reluctance to challenge existing processes. In this article Steve looks at how banks can adopt a coexistence model to reduce the risk of digital transformation and have the breathing space to quickly launch innovative products, while still planning a long-term legacy migration. #corebanking #cloudbanking #bankingtechnology #fintech #datadrivencore #agileinnovation 🚀Nelson Wootton Matthew Breadon
For our cover story this month, we're delighted to hear from David Osborne, CEO of Caseware and former leader of Virgin Pulse, who shares his key advice for professionals and entrepreneurs in FinTech seeking to accelerate their careers. We hear from Steve Round, President and Co-Founder of SaaScada, who explores how entrenched company culture in traditional banks may be hampering their ability to modernise and compete with more agile FinTechs and challenger banks. In our Off The Books feature, Chirag Shah, Founder and CEO of Nucleus Commercial Finance, discusses his journey from investment banking to establishing Nucleus, his insights on alternative finance for UK SMEs, and the innovative strategies driving Nucleus’s success. Wil Suthers and I are presenting at FinTech West's Annual Conference tomorrow on what we've been doing to help build the #FinTech ecosystem here on the South Coast. And there's one key point we'll be making... We don't see the steering group as a steering group - and yes I know that sounds weird as I type it. Instead, we view it as a new startup. Over the last 10 months, we have launched our MVP, gained customer feedback through events and other activities, and regularly iterated on the offering and the impact we seek to deliver. And each member of the steering group isn't just a member. They have specific roles including marketing, operations, comms, sales, stakeholder engagement, finance etc. Just like a regular startup. This makes us much more effective as it gives each of us specific responsibilities and accountability. So how is it going? We'll give you the update at the conference and I'll share the highlights afterwards on LI.
