VIRTUAL 🤖 Outreach Programs —- Hello!! Unite & Spread !!! Science is not confined to laboratories or research institutions; in fact their beneficial information must be extended to masses so as to unleash the full potential of such information. Reaching to many underrepresented people or communities in a remote village, has been always a challenge through an “Outreach Programme”. But.... How to reach to the people hundreds of kilometers away in heterogeneous geographical locations across the globe? Let's build a Virtual Science Centers!!!! Virtual Science centers should be developed with this objective of dissemination of scientific and technological information- current or historical to masses woven in their language for better comprehending. These are also conveyors of culture – the cultural quest for scientific understanding of our world – and the culture of wonder, discovery and invention. Looking for researchers, institutions, and media collaborations & partners - that can help in spreading the vision of Virtual Science Centers, not limited to physical barriers. If you can help, don't hesitate to reach me. Regards, Ankur Gupta (guptankur087@gmail.com) *** Share with your connections to help me reach right people 🤝

A tsunami of research will lead to the increased pace and scale of innovations. The system constraint is the rate of awareness and learning to get to understandings the enable actionable efforts for innovations that drive change and transformation. Collaboration, crowdsourcing, partnerships and dynamic innovations ecosystems are key to riding this wave. Spending more time in opportunity awareness, connecting and building relationships enables social networks to emerge and disrupt existing paradigms.

Interdisciplinary research is indispensable in today's world, where complex challenges demand holistic solutions. The fusion of knowledge across academic fields has led to remarkable innovations, such as bioinformatics, which merges computer science, biology, and medicine to decode genetic data for personalized medicine. Similarly, collaborations between engineers, urban planners, and environmental scientists are shaping sustainable cities with energy-efficient systems and green infrastructure. This interdisciplinary approach is crucial for addressing urbanization challenges sustainably. Beyond solving problems, interdisciplinary research sparks creativity and innovation by breaking traditional boundaries. For instance, blending art and technology has enhanced user interface design, making digital products more accessible and user-friendly. While interdisciplinary research faces hurdles like methodological differences and funding constraints, its benefits are profound. By encouraging collaboration and fresh perspectives, it paves the way for groundbreaking discoveries and solutions to global issues. It is imperative for universities and research institutions to champion and fund interdisciplinary collaborations for a more innovative future.

Science Europe Position Statement: Integrity at the heart of healthy and effective research cultures Main points: 1. institutional, national, and international collaboration to uphold research standards. 2. Documentation *and publication* of misconduct cases to promote transparency and accountability. 3. Engagement with stakeholders to maintain public trust in research endeavors. These points highlight the importance of integrity in fostering healthy and effective research cultures. Some mentions to the perverse incentives fuelling this: "challenges include limited funding, research precarity, narrow incentives, and the influence of technologies such as generative artificial intelligence..." "Appropriate incentives and rewards are key to the effective support of research integrity by research funding and performing organisations." "positive research cultures allow researchers to focus on the integrity of their work, avoiding misaligned incentives." https://lnkd.in/e8s23DPj

The development and growth of research across #Europe have been significantly shaped by initiatives that foster #collaboration, #networking, and #knowledge-sharing among scientists and researchers. Among these initiatives, #COST (which stands for European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Actions stand out as a unique and impactful program that bridges the gap between different research communities, disciplines, and countries. COST Actions are not just about research funding; they represent a broader, more integrated approach to scientific collaboration that can lead to ground breaking discoveries and innovations. A COST Action is a bottom-up initiative, meaning that the topics are proposed by the researchers themselves rather than being dictated by the funding body. This ensures that the Actions are relevant to current scientific needs and interests, and it allows for the exploration of emerging research areas. To find out more, read RedKnight Consultancy Ltd's recent blog about COST Actions: https://lnkd.in/eBp5mE6B

Finding the right academic research collaborators is tough. That's why my partner and I founded Collaboratory (https://collaboratory.ist/) 3 years ago. We believe science thrives on diverse perspectives and collaboration shouldn't be limited by borders or institutions. After Y Combinator, Fase1, and connecting scientists worldwide, we have a major meeting with 6 HBCUs about making Collaboratory their collaboration platform. Even within the specific field of academic research science, we average 3K monthly organic visitors. This would be a huge step in creating a more inclusive scientific community. Fingers crossed! #HBCU #science #collaboration #startup #inclusivity
