I had the privilege of meeting with the President of ACIMIT Marco Salvadè, Italy's prestigious association of textile machinery manufacturers. Our discussion opened the door to an exhilarating opportunity for synergy between ACIMIT and the Polish Textille Association, where I serve as Director. 🤝 Collaboration is on the Horizon: We are exploring collaborative ventures to create specialized training programs for Polish textile professionals. This initiative aims to enhance skills and foster innovation within our industry, ensuring that Polish textile manufacturers continue to excel on the global stage. 🏭 Support for Polish Manufacturers: In addition to training, we discussed potential support mechanisms for Polish textile producers, aiming to integrate cutting-edge Italian machinery and technologies. This support would not only boost productivity but also enhance the quality and competitiveness of Polish textiles. 💡 Why This Matters: This partnership will not only bridge knowledge and technology gaps but also fortify the textile industry in both countries. Today is the day: More than 40,200 trade visitors attended the leading international trade fair for composites last year. We are looking forward to counting the visitors this year. Today spoke 12 and spoke 3 of the National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST) presented the open calls in the sala Pininfarina of Confindustria in Rome. The calls offer to micro, small and medium enterprise as well as research centers the opportunity to cooperate, by performing research and design/realize prototypes and facilities, to the activities while improving the research and innovation capabilities of Spoke 12 and 3. The final aim is to help creating a strongly connected and distributed network of operators capable of offering innovative services and products.

As always, many significant topics emerge from the meetings between associations that, like #AEFI, represent the trade fair system worldwide.  In general, the sector's performance is good in the present with obvious uncertainties regarding the evolution given the current context. This is a summary of the themes that emerged from the Association committee meeting which met yesterday in Cologne before the UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry Congress.  - Increasing importance is being placed by all countries on sustainability, and trade fairs can set a virtuous example in this respect. Furthermore, the sector is committed to the Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) initiative, designed to accelerate the transition of the events industry towards net-zero emissions.  - The transparency of data and the methods used to collect it are crucial for enabling professionals to navigate the sector. This underscores the importance of the work carried out within ISO, which aims to define clear guidelines on this subject. Thanks go to Jörn Holtmeier, Christian DRUART and Peirui Tan for their work in the committee, to Kai Hattendorf for his outstanding contribution within UFI, and to Chris Skeith OBE who will lead the association in the future.

A successful ITMA Asia 2024 closed its door. Stephan Kehry from Erhardt+Leimer GmbH summarizes as follows: "ITMA ASIA 2023 showed two things: the great potential of Asian textile machine manufacturers on the one hand and the lack of customers on the other. One year later, the current edition of ITMA ASIA confirmed the supremacy of the Asian competition, although more customers seemed to have found joy in investing again. Accordingly, Erhardt+Leimer's expectations in the run-up to the trade fair were rather muted, but were raised to a cautiously optimistic level after the first few days. The 90m² stand was well attended for almost the entire time and the almost 20 employees of the long-established German company had their hands full answering the enquiries of well over 200 visitors and presenting appropriate solutions in the fields of automation, sensor technology and energy saving. This trade fair has once again impressively demonstrated that quality and innovation are still the main factors for not only surviving against an ever-increasing competition, but also for emerging from it stronger." #TextileIndustry #TextileMachinery #ITMA
