Make yourself your own science experiment. This is the key to personal leadership. Self-awareness alone isn't enough. Self-examination and objective understanding are critical. Developing these skills can be tricky, but I can assure you, this kind of intentional effort can be wildly transformative. The new element I am learning is that engaging in this work with open-mindedness, whimsy, play, and wonder is a total game-changer. We don't have to be so serious all the time. It's probably better if we aren't. I hope everyone is safe this Friday. My weekend wish for you is to allow yourself to be present for even a moment, to allow the weight lift for a just a second so you can get some clarity and perspective. There is so much stuff in our way. Give yourself permission to take a break and put it down. Pause is powerful - rest is a need, not a reward. #personalleadership #weekendwishes #rest #pauseispowerful #personaldevelopment

🛑 Take a minute and read this! Think about the most robust systems, the strongest relationships or the most enduring habits. We built to last, and breaking them requires tremendous force or neglect. But if they do break, fixing them becomes an even more challenging task. It takes time, effort, patience, and often a willingness to embrace discomfort and growth. In our careers, it could mean a deeply ingrained work ethic or a well-established business reputation. In our personal lives, it could be a bond with a loved one or our own self-belief. Whatever it is, this quote reminds us that the strongest things in life are worth preserving and, if broken, worth the effort to repair. So let's take a moment today to recognize and appreciate the resilient things in our lives. And remember, if we face challenges, we have the strength to rebuild, no matter how tough the journey may be. 💪 #Resilience #GrowthMindset #PersonalDevelopment #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #NeverGiveUp

Have you been wanting to focus on self-improvement and personal growth? One essential tip from Brené Brown–author, professor, and social worker–Embrace the power of YET. Instead of thinking “I can’t do it” or “I don’t know how,” add the word “yet” into your vocabulary. “I can’t do it YET” and “I don’t know how YET” leaves room for learning and improvement rather than remaining fixed in your current skills and capabilities. Let failure become your friend! Every time you fail, you’re pushing yourself and getting feedback on how to improve. Remember, it’s not that you didn’t succeed, it’s that you haven’t succeeded YET! #GrowthMindset #PowerofYet #Vistage #PeerAdvisory #Leadership

Which matrix of wholeness supports your journey of BECOMING your most authentic self? We first chased the eclipse in 2017 from California to Wyoming. This time around we chased totality in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Each time Totality reminds me that Calling much like the eclipse unfolds slowly. First you feel the temperature dropping, then you sense the shift in light, then all around you there's signals you're on the right trajectory, and usually last there's a cognitive recognition of how far you've moved. If you're chasing your own totality as a Founder/Executive and are in the path of Scale: -for your Partnerships -your Leadership team -your product offering Rest in the knowledge that as you lead in alignment with your values, with each intentional "No!" your calling will slowly unfold. #integralcoach, #2024eclipse, #scalethroughpartnerships, #executivepathfinder

Weekend Wisdom! Good morning all, I hope your weekends are off to a great start. 😊 I wanted to wrap up my posts on the book, The Savage Leader by Darren Reinke with the image below showing all 13 Principles from the book. I personally have been actively putting these into action over the past six months and I’ve seen a tremendous impact on many areas of my life. That’s the beautiful thing about pursuing personal growth, you may do it at first to impact a certain part of your life but then you realize the principles cover your entire life. I encourage you all, no matter what stage of life you’re in both personally and professionally, to embrace continuous learning and growth. It will provide positive impact not just for you but for everyone you interact with. You will become more confident in who you are and the worth that you have. You will pursue opportunities to fully utilize your gifts and talents. You will be a better leader of yourself and others! Have a blessed weekend! ~ Evolution of Self #weekendwisdom #SavageLeader #personalgrowth #leadership

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱—𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀? If it’s been a while, you’re probably stuck in your comfort zone. John Maxwell talks about the 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱: “Growth stops when you lose the tension between where you are and where you could be.” Just like a rubber band, we are meant to stretch. If you’re not feeling a little uncomfortable, you're not growing. It’s easy to get comfortable with routines that feel safe, but true growth—whether in leadership, personal development, or any other area—happens when you challenge yourself. It’s in those moments of tension that you discover new strengths, break through barriers, and achieve things you didn’t think were possible. So, here’s a challenge: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻? Don’t shy away from the discomfort; lean into it. That’s where the real growth begins. #Leadership #GrowthMindset #PersonalDevelopment #ChallengeYourself #JohnMaxwell

Growing up, I wasn't taught to see fear as a motivator. Instead, I avoided it. Over time, I realized that avoiding fear led to regrets of missed opportunities. Now, I teach my daughter that fear presents a chance to do good by distinguishing between danger and discomfort with change. Self-awareness is key in managing oneself to become a better leader at work and a role model for my daughter. Thank you, Lara Galinsky, for your insightful article that resonated with me! How do you approach fear in your life? #selfawareness #learning #leadership #fear

I saw this post the other day shared by my management team and I thought I would share it here as it could be helpful for someone. It is a "Dear Future Me" exercise where you physically write a letter by hand for a chance on self-reflection. It allows you to explore your thoughts, feelings, challenges and future goals to look back on to see how far you have come in your personal or professional journey. This is an anonymous example of one below:#DearfutureMe #SelfReflection #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #GoalSetting #Mindfullness #CareerGrowth #Leadership #Inspiration #Motivation #FutureGoals #journey #Success

My new blog 'The Quiet Influence: Introversion and Leadership – Quiet Is Not Silent' explores how introversion, far from being a barrier, can be a profound asset in leadership and that being introverted is not the same as being shy. More than proving ourselves to others, it’s important to gain a clear understanding of our own strengths as introverts. This blog is meant to help us realize and embrace that strength. As an introvert, I want to share my observations and experiences to help others see the strengths in quiet leadership. https://lnkd.in/g8XtfhMe #Leadership #Introversion #QuietLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #SelfAwareness #LeadershipSkills #PersonalGrowth #WorkplaceCulture #MindfulLeadership #EmpathyInLeadership #CareerGrowth #LeadershipTips #ProfessionalDevelopment

"Knowledge is love and vision!" I love this brilliant re-write by a local public school closer to my place. (Original quote: Knowledge is power) Who needs power when we can have love and vision instead? Power (in the traditional sense of the word) is the root of all wars, political backstabbing, and corporate takeovers. This is why leadership styles like #servantleadership are so critical to solve some today's pressing issues. Because these issues cannot be solved with power in a sustainable manner. We need love, compassion, and reflection that can lead to bold and sustainable visions. What do you think? How would you rewrite this old saying? #selfleadership #authenticleadership
