In July 2020, I founded Lesley Osborn Canine Consulting to provide education and guidance on fostering, adopting, and caring for adult, senior, and special needs dogs. My company’s preeminent goal is to empower people to provide loving forever homes to rescue and shelter dogs. The focus will always be the “QUALITY OF THEIR LIVES.” I have shared my life (and it’s a long one) caring for rescued adult, senior, and special needs dogs by providing them a forever home in my home—a safe, secure place I call GREYSETT. Now I offer my knowledge and expertise to anyone—whether you’re looking for a first dog, adding another dog, or just need some advice about your present canine family. I provide proven and practical solutions for the issues dog parents may face. Canines come with an ongoing list of responsibilities for those who give them a home. They deserve nothing less than a home filled with kindness, understanding, patience, and love. Many breeds including mixed breeds adore children. Every situation is different. Every dog has a unique personality. Family lifestyles and dynamics differ. There are small breeds who adore kids. On the flip side, many don't. There are large breeds that are gentle giants and will often curl up next to a child. On the flip side of this - the size of a large breed dog should always be considered. Teaching our youngsters to show dogs kindness and respect to canines and all animals is vital. It begins with us. Their parents. Naturally, there are exceptions. Not all adults are animal lovers. If you are a parent who doesn't respect dogs, please don't pass that along to your kids.
