When it comes to #mentalhealth, we need to do better as a society. Far too often, cries for help are dismissed as attention-seeking behavior. But what if we could change that? Join me through my participation in the Distinguished #GentlemansRide and help create social awareness around these issues. By donating to this cause, you can support The Movember Foundation's mission to create programs that can make a real difference. Whether you've been personally affected or not, every little bit helps. Together, we can make a difference. Consider donating to #DGR2024 at any level: https://lnkd.in/gfspj7p

But 90% of that growth came from 3 simple things. Here they are—and how you can do them too: 1. Start Small: No action is too small! Whether it's donating a couple of bucks or sharing a post about a local cause, your bit counts. 2. Use Your Voice: Spread the word about the causes you care about. Our platform makes it easy to tell your story and why you support a charity. 3. Team Up: Get your friends and fam involved. There's power in numbers, and we provide the tools to make teaming up for good, super simple. Fostering community participation isn't a solo gig. It takes a village, and that's where you come in. Share your experiences, invite others to join, and let's amplify our impact together. Because together, we're unstoppable.💪 Share if you're in, comment your thoughts, or tag a buddy who's always got your back in making a difference. #CommunityImpact #SocialGood #BeTheChange And don't forget, if you're looking to make a real difference, hop on over to https://bgiving.one/ – Let's do this!

Local or Global? When it comes to donating, where should your money go? Supporting local causes strengthens the community you live in, but global causes tackle issues affecting humanity on a larger scale. Both matter, but priorities often vary based on personal values, location, and urgency of needs. What do YOU think? Is it more impactful to give back locally or contribute to solving global challenges? 🧐 Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️ #LocalVsGlobal #MakeADifference #PhilanthropyMatters #PledgeForGood

"If you can give even one percent of your income to someone, then do it, because your one percent could be 100% of someone's happiness." --- "Daan" as a word does not only include giving money. It includes giving your time and love to someone. It includes donating things you love. It takes a lot of courage for "Daan". Do you have that courage? --- Daan Utsav is celebrated every year from Oct 2nd to Oct 8th. People come together to celebrate acts of kindness by providing time, resources, or money to the cause(s) they care about. Want to know more about Daan Utsav? Decluttering kids' spaces is more than just tidying up—it's about making mindful choices. Consider donating gently used items to local organizations like the Foster Closet. Involve your kids in the process to teach them about empathy and responsibility, while also making sustainable choices to minimize waste. Together, we can create organized spaces and make a positive impact in our community. 💫 #ConsciousDecluttering #KidsOrganization #DonateWithPurpose #FosterCloset #SustainableLiving #CommunityImpact #DeclutterWithPurpose #WestLafayetteIndiana #GreaterLafayetteInd

I recently read an article about digital detox and fundraising work. Especially now when our inboxes and social media accounts are being inundated with asks for money (both charitable and political), the article inspired a few suggestions that I am sharing with our clients: 1. Handwritten notes still work. As a matter of fact, we hear from donors and clients that handwritten notes stand out to them. 2. Small events with board members or executive leadership help deepen relationships. It makes people feel special to be invited and to have an insider's peek. 3. Regardless of what platform you are using, make IMPACT the focus of your messaging. Showing donors how you are using their important contributions inspires them to give again and again. #impact #fundraising #philanthropy #digitaldetox #socialmedia #snailmail #directmail #handwritten #personal #personalization Michael Pettry

🙋♂️𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐊𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬? 🧦 ••• ❤️ We created the SOCKtober Kickers in 2018 to teach kids about giving-back when able. New socks are known as the “forgotten item” when it comes to donating so we have chosen to remember. 🥅 Our goal is to help people in need in our surrounding communities and you’d likely be surprised how many “neighbors” you have going through a tough season. 📦 If you’d like to participate this year, please feel free to: 1. Drop off or mail in socks (options in flyer) 2. Share this flyer up on your social media 3. Post this flyer in your business and make a collection box Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. #SOCKtoberKickers #SOCKtober #MAUsomers #blackbeltscare #helpothers #communityhelpers #helpyourcommunity #actsofkindess #specificactsofkindness
