Why did the NY Post feature my "Example-based questions to ask at the end of the interview" video? 🧐 Because there's still the question of if hiring managers care if a candidate asks really good questions at the end of the interview? They've already likely made up their mind. The comments on my video were mixed. But guess what? It doesn't change the fact that the candidate should ask good questions. EXAMPLE based questions in fact. The same ones the hiring manager just spent 1 hour asking the candidate... ya. My Golden rule: Vague questions will earn you vague responses. As a candidate, you want to stand out but you also need to ask the questions you genuinely want to know the answer to. That requires specificity and intention. The hiring manager isn't the only one who should leave with good answers.

Bravo! Having recently gone through an interview cycle it occurred to me how inefficient the process is. Trying to search for an answer from a multi year career and pinpoint the exact "best" answer to a question does not allow someone to present their best self in the 30 minutes you have for most interviews. Having an idea of what to prepare is also more representative of a real world situation, in my experience.

A job interview can make or break your chance of landing your dream role. While many assume they can simply "wing" it, proper preparation is key. First, ensure your CV is clear, concise, and tailored to the job. Research the company thoroughly, and be ready with questions that show genuine interest. During the interview, dress professionally, make eye contact, and engage in the conversation - this will help you stand out. After the interview, always send a thank you note within 24 hours to reiterate your interest. Read more here: https://heyor.ca/4Q0EEP #JobInterviewTips #CareerSuccess #LammondAssociates #Recruitment
