The floating LiDAR system, BA-FLS-NX5, manufactured by Blue Aspirations, has gone through extreme conditions and has eventually been deployed over 45 offshore wind measurements successfully so far. It contains 10 projects that were deployed in the first quarter of 2024. It's something we get asked about a lot at ZX. Can you use Lidar standalone, without the need for a met mast? Here's a great summary of why that's not a question anymore for RES and DNV, it's a daily reality of modern wind farm development.
