Cured-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lining is a fantastic innovation in the field of pipe repair. What it is? Let’s explore it! 🎉 A very efficient method to restore pipes from leaks and cracks. Hats off to the inventors! 🛠️👏 🌟 It is called the **Cured-in-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lining**. This method is a cost and time-effective alternative to digging the area and replacing pipes. 🌍💧 🔧 **How CIPP Works:** 1. **Preparation:** A flexible, resin-coated liner is inserted into the damaged pipe. 🛠️ 2. **Inflation:** The liner is inflated to fit snugly against the inner walls of the existing pipe. 🌀 3. **Curing:** The resin is cured (hardened) using hot water, steam, or UV light, creating a new, solid pipe within the old one. 💡🔥 💡 **Benefits:** - **Minimal Disruption:** No need to dig up roads or landscapes. 🚫🚧 - **Cost-Effective:** Reduces labor and material costs. 💰 - **Quick Installation:** Repairs can often be completed in a matter of hours. ⏱️ - **Durability:** The new pipe lining can last for decades, providing a long-term solution. 🏗️🕰️ 📍 **Example:** - **City of Los Angeles:** LA has successfully used CIPP lining to restore miles of aging sewer pipes, significantly reducing repair times and costs while minimizing disruption to the community. 🏙️🔄 💬 Have you seen or used CIPP technology in your area? Share your thoughts on this innovative solution for pipe repair! 🌟🔧 #CIPP #PipeRepair #InfrastructureInnovation #SustainableSolutions #NoDigTechnology #EfficientRepair #UrbanDevelopment #CivilEngineering #EcoFriendly #SmartCities #CostEffective #GreenTech #LongTermSolution https://lnkd.in/ebSCANCK

📽 Check out this video showing the sequence of works over the last 12 months upgrading the Kenmare Wastewater Treatment Plant (WwTP). The footage highlights the impressive scale and progress of this critical project for the people of Kenmare. Glanua is delighted to be leading the upgrade of the #Kenmare WwTP and Cromwell’s Bridge Pumping Station (PS) on behalf of Uisce Éireann Irish Water and Kerry County Council. The current plant in Kenmare has an organic capacity of 5,800 Population Equivalent (PE) and experiences emergency overflows during high flow periods. The proposed design will increase the capacity to 9,800 PE, enhance storage capacity at Cromwell’s Bridge, and improve effluent quality to meet the future Wastewater Discharge Licence emission limit values. Key features of the upgraded plant include: 🔵 New Integrated Film Activated Sludge (IFAS) system with two new Final Settlement Tanks (FSTs), an upgraded existing FST, and a new tertiary filter system. 🔵 Enhanced sludge handling with a picket fence thickener (PFT), sludge holding tank (SHT), and screw press for dewatering. 🔵Three new buildings, three odour control units, inlet works, grit and FOG classifiers, as well as lime and ferric dosing facilities. 🔵A new pump station with an 810 m³ storage capacity. For the past eight years, Kenmare Town has faced restrictions on new developments due to its overburdened wastewater system. Once the upgrade is complete, it will open new opportunities for development in Kenmare and significantly benefit homes and businesses in the area, ensuring a reliable and efficient wastewater treatment system that meets future demands and environmental standards. Well done to the team working on this project. Looking forward to the end result! #WastewaterTreatment #Wastewater

#EPSExcellence is our new series of posts reflecting on some of our most eye-catching past projects. We begin by looking back on our contribution to the AMP6 growth scheme at Great Dunmow Water Recycling Centre, delivered for Anglian Water Services and Anglian Water @one Alliance. The project involved the increasing the operational capacity and enhancing the nutrient removal capabilities of the plant to serve the catchment of approximately 10,000 people. Hydraulic difficulties and severe footprint limitations led Anglian to select Nereda wastewater treatment technology by Royal HaskoningDHV as the preferred process solution for the project. As experienced Nereda licensees and long-established members of the Anglian Water supply chain, EPS Water was chosen to deliver the main process package comprising of the inlet works, storm tank cleaning systems, pump sets, Nereda reactor internals, tertiary solids removal and all associated process pipework and access solutions. We worked closely with @one Alliance to develop and implement an innovative and highly-effective series of off-site build solutions based on the principles of Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA). This led to a high-accelerated modular build process driven by collaborative digital design and managed using a range of BIM tools. Consequently, we achieved significant programme and safety improvements and far greater cost certainty than a traditional on-site assembly could have delivered. More information on the project can be found on our website, which includes a link to a detailed case study published in WaterProjectsOnline. https://lnkd.in/g9KrYfWG #RethinkingWater

https://lnkd.in/dTsbjWnK The Si-Flux 'Anti-Block' Siphonic Roof Outlet is a cutting-edge solution designed to optimize drainage systems on large roofs. This innovative outlet utilizes siphonic technology to efficiently manage water flow, ensuring that roofs remain free from water accumulation and potential damage. Key Features: Anti-Block Design: The outlet is engineered with a unique geometric anti-block design that prevents sand and debris from clogging the system. This ensures continuous, unhindered water flow even during heavy downpours. Siphonic Technology: The Si-Flux outlet uses the principles of siphonic drainage, which allows for higher flow rates using smaller pipes compared to traditional gravity-fed systems. This makes it ideal for large commercial or industrial roofs. High Flow Capacity: The design maximizes the water removal rate, reducing the risk of water pooling and roof overload. This is particularly beneficial in regions prone to intense rainfall. Durability and Longevity: Constructed from high-quality aluminium or stainless steel, the robust Si-Flux outlet is built to withstand foot traffic, harsh weather conditions and the test of time, ensuring reliable performance for years. Eco-Friendly: By efficiently managing water drainage, the Si-Flux outlet helps prevent excessive water waste and can be integrated into green building initiatives focused on sustainable water management.
