What do you look for when hiring in Children's residential? 🤔 As a recruiter within the social care sector, I engage with children's residential organisations daily, to discuss what they look for in a candidate. Beyond the essential qualifications and experience, empathy stands as a pivotal attribute. The ability to understand and share the emotions of others can elevate a competent carer to greatness, particularly when working with vulnerable children. 🌟 Individuals who are dependable in managing routine care, behaviour management, and safeguarding, as well as those who can collaborate seamlessly with the entire team are just some of the crucial attributes we look for. 🌍 Social care thrives on collaboration, and adaptability is vital for effectively handling crisis intervention and case management. 🔄 What are your thoughts? What might be a deciding factor when deciding between 2 individuals as good as the other on paper? 👇 #socialcare #hiring #teamwork #empathy #recruitment #childrensservices #vulnerablechildren #careersinhealthcare #jobsearch #communitysupport #socialwork

📍 Finding the perfect fit in care recruitment can feel like a daunting task! But that's where a specialist recruiter becomes your ace. With deep industry know-how, they're not just recruiters, they're matchmakers, pairing passion with profession. A care-focused recruiter's toolkit is potent - with accreditation savvy that lifts the bar on quality. They're adept at sifting through a sea of candidates to find those with just the right blend of skills and heart. 🤝 Experience is the recruiter's trump card - they've seen the care sector inside out. They get the nuances, the must-haves, and the non-negotiables. And with that experience comes a network rich with potential; a treasure trove of connections that goes beyond LinkedIn profiles and CVs. 🌟 Imagine a recruiter as a guide through the accreditation maze. They ensure that your hires aren't just warm bodies, but accredited professionals meeting stringent UK standards. That's peace of mind - knowing your staff has the qualifications to back their commitment to care. But it's not just about ticking boxes. True specialist recruiters breathe the sector's ethos. They understand that at the heart of care recruitment is empathy, a quality that can't be taught, but must be inherently present in each hire. #CareRecruitment #Accreditation #RecruitmentExpertise Remember, it's about the lives touched by those hires. More questions for job hunters: Is it legal to ask these questions on a job application? Are you a parent or caretaker of children? Do you consider yourself a first-generation college graduate? The inquiry about being a first-generation college graduate seems less controversial to me. Inquiring about parental status could relate to potential time off or special considerations. Personally, as someone without children, I observed a significant amount of special considerations provided to my colleagues who were parents. #jobhunters
