Advancing the importance of Health Equity + Pharmacoequity with a #equitable clinical trials outcome... together.
"Collaboration" was a key theme during day 4 of the 2024 Women of Color in Pharma (WOCIP) Cluster Meetings. #Collaboration with the right people, such as community healthcare providers and patient advocacy groups, is crucial. By understanding the specific challenges faced by marginalized communities, companies can more purposely select and leverage technology effectively to design solutions that truly address health equity concerns. To bridge the gap between pharmaceutical companies' resource allocation and the growing need for health equity initiatives, companies can use #technology as a tool to address these disparities and need to adopt a "purposeful #vision" approach. This means clearly defining the target audience, desired impact, and timelines before starting any project. Quotes from LaToya Coffey, PhD, Charlotte Jones-Burton, MD, MS, and Rizwana Seeham Key Takeaways from Clarkston's Brandon Miller, Erica Parks Murray, and LaToya Lee Jones Learn more about the importance of #equitable clinical trials here: https://lnkd.in/eHi-YwET
