It was my pleasure to be a speaker at Women's Lab Conference on Wednesday. Thank you for the invitation Aniko Fekete. Let me share a key take-away message from my speech titled 'How to build a strong brand'. 𝐀 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 ▪ 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 >> Focused in practice >> You need to develop the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 & 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for this ▪ 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 >> Consistent in practice >> You need to develop the 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 for this ▪ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 >> Sustainable in practice >> You need to develop the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐑𝐞-)𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 for this Based on my experience all these 3 pillars must be covered during brand building, so I have broken them down into smaller steps and always take my clients through all of them. ❓️Do you cover all of them in your brand building? #Brand #Branding #BrandBuilding #BrandBuilder #PwGcommunication

Shout out to women in business - we still have seats at Brand YOU!! Join us for a fascinating conversation with Denise Bryant, VP of Marketing/Community outreach for First Bank Chicago and First Bank Highland Park, and Arden Edelcup, Transworld Business Advisors and formerly of Ross Cosmetics & Boutique. In today's competitive business landscape, branding yourself is both a strategic necessity and a powerful assertion of identity especially for women in business. The concept of 'Brand You' encapsulates the art of crafting a unique and compelling personal brand that resonates with your professional aspirations and personal values. For women in business, this means more than just promoting skills and accomplishments—it involves cultivating a distinct voice, fostering authenticity, and championing diversity. A strong personal brand not only enhances credibility but also fosters trust and loyalty among clients and partners. It serves as a beacon of empowerment, inspiring others to embrace their strengths and break through barriers. By leveraging storytelling, social media, and networking opportunities, women can amplify their influence and carve out a meaningful presence in their respective industries. Ultimately, 'Brand You' empowers women in business to assert their expertise, embrace their individuality, and lead with purpose in an ever-evolving marketplace. Find out how Denise and Arden have accomplished this when they share their stories and background at our next #VOICE! workshop. Register here: https://lnkd.in/guAJkfsW

More and more people want to connect with the person behind the brand. And that's why your story matters. We often talk about the importance of branding for a business, but when it comes to building a personal brand...suddenly that's not so much a priority anymore. But what if I told you that creating a personal brand doesn’t have to be complicated - you just have to be intentional about it. It’s one of the most powerful things you can do to make your business memorable and build trust with your customers - which ultimately leads to more business success. This is why I’ll be leading a session all about personal branding at Catch22’s Women in Business event ✨ Here’s a sneak peek into what we’ll cover: 📈 Identifying your point of difference: We’ll figure out what makes you and your business unique so you can align them strategically with your brand. 💼 Positioning this as THE solution: We’ll identify what your ideal clients truly need and how you can position your brand as the solution they’re searching for. 🏋♀️ Building personal brand pillars: We’ll define key themes to make it easier to create meaningful content that resonates and engages with the right people. Spaces are limited, so secure your spot by emailing Claudia at Claudia.granziol@catch-22.org.uk 💌 And let me know if you're coming!! #personalbranding #personalbrandingworkshop #womeninbusiness #catch22

You can build successful brands only if you know how to stand out in the real world. If we want women to build great brands, encourage her to stand out (not fit in or align with a stereotype)… She can stand out authentically, not as someone else; empowered, not as a spectacle; boldly, not awkwardly. Give women the space to stand out in their own way, but they don’t need anyone’s permission for this either. Better brands will be built as a consequence.

Bold Women unlock potential..... It is an effort and for marginalized women, the way forward. Boldness isn't just about stepping out of our comfort zones—it's about breaking the chains that hold entire communities back. When women embrace their power and challenge existing structures, they don't just shatter glass ceilings; they create new spaces where others can rise. This photo, taken over a decade ago at Hotel Adlon during the 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, marks a pivotal moment at first African Fashion press conference. Back then, I didn’t fully grasp the boldness of my actions or the lasting impact it would have. What I did know was that it was essential—African and diasporic creativity needed a platform, a voice that spoke from an authentic perspective. We could no longer afford to be overlooked. Our message was unmistakable: we were there to set a new standard in fashion, one that recognized and celebrated the richness of our heritage. Power structures are designed to maintain the status quo, but the true potential for transformative change lies within those who have been marginalized. Their resilience, creativity, and unique perspectives are the very solutions we need. Let's celebrate boldness in women everywhere. Let’s recognize that the power to dismantle oppressive systems and build a more equitable future lies within us all. Together, we can redefine what leadership and success look like. #BoldWomen #BreakTheStructures #PotentialUnlocked #InclusiveLeadership #josehendo #Powerstructers
