Results from the latest drill program targeting near-surface mineralisation have revealed high-grade intersections with #gold encountered in all holes, including 43 metres at 4.4 g/t from just 2 metres below the surface. Within this interval was a higher grade section of 39.2 g/t gold over 2 metres. Additional results from 13 remaining drill holes are still awaited with all the results expected to support a pre-feasibility study (PFS) for the RPM starter mine. Gerteisen highlighted the significance of the results for the upcoming resource update and PFS, positioning RPM as a low-cost, high-margin project with potential for future expansions through cash flow. At Laiva Gold Mine in Finland, the team is committed to optimizing our gold recovery processes. The gold recovery process features two leaching circuits: high-grade and low-grade. Each low-grade tank has a capacity of 907 m³, while each high-grade tank holds 59 m³. Both circuits include mixing, leaching, and detox tanks, with ore residence times of approximately 20 hours for low-grade and 40 hours for high-grade. Our high-grade tanks treat ore with gold concentrations that can exceed 80 g/t, achieving recovery rates of up to 99%. In contrast, the low-grade circuit handles ore with around 0.7 g/t of gold, with a recovery rate of about 80%, giving an overall recovery of 89-90% Sorry about the poor sound but just as well as I called the tanks the wrong way around… for all my technical buddies that will put me straight! Tolu Minerals Ltd (ASX:TOK) CEO Iain Macpherson joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss significant high-grade #gold and #silver results from diamond drilling at Taula prospect, 4.5 kilometres southeast of the Tolukuma Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea. The results include 1 metre at 61.20 g/t gold and 1,979 g/t silver within a broader intersection of 4.8 metres at 22.79 g/t gold and 513.2 g/t silver. These results suggest the potential extension of the gold vein system over a 1.5-kilometre strike length, open for further exploration to the north and south. The company is now evaluating these results to update its mineral resource estimate. Macpherson noted that these findings reinforced Tolu's strategy to leverage existing infrastructure and operational capabilities at Tolukuma, aiming to position it as a significant gold and silver producer.
