Globally, according to UNICEF East Asia and Pacific & World Health Organization data, Indonesia's stunting prevalence rate is the 27th highest out of 154 countries with stunting data, and the fifth highest in Asia (July 2023). The current government of the Republic of Indonesia has made stunted growth one of its priorities. One of the things that the Good Doctor Technology & PT. Ikapharmindo Putramas are doing is this to raise awareness about what stunting is all about. In the same way we invite all partners & stakeholders to work together for a better Indonesia. then please feel free to contact us!! #Stunting #GoodDoctor #Ikapharmindo

The stagnant stunting rates in 2023, at 0.1 percent, call for a national strategy review. Empowering Indonesia's 1.5 million Posyandu cadres is crucial for tackling stunting nationwide. Organisations like the 1000 Days Fund, training 54,000 cadres, emphasise cadre empowerment's importance. The 41 percent decrease in stunting in East Nusa Tenggara reflects the positive impact of sustained cadre capacity-building. However, despite 2019 Ministry of Health regulations, gaps remain in supporting cadre training, supervision, and incentives. Strengthening these policies is vital for achieving health targets. Multi-sectoral involvement, as advocated by the 1000 Days Fund, is essential. While progress has been made in village resource allocation, ongoing advocacy efforts are needed. Ultimately, concerted action is necessary to fortify cadre empowerment and address stunting challenges in Indonesia. Our COO, Rindang Asmara-Petersen and Prof. Dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, MSc, PhD shares their thought about stunting reduction through cadres empowerment. Are you familiar with “child stunting” ? This term became popular after being one of the hotly debated key issues in the 5th Indonesian Presidential Debate for 2024 election. #Stunting, a condition where children are too short for their age, hinders cognitive development, educational attainment, and future economic prospects, remains a significant obstacle to Indonesia's human capital development, with the second-highest prevalence in Southeast Asia. Early childhood interventions, particularly within the first 1,000 days, are crucial in addressing this challenge. By investing in Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs, we can foster a cycle of improved physical development, and many more that contributes to shape a generation for Golden Indonesia 2045. 💡 Read the slides to gain insights! #Stunting #Humancapitaldevelopment #IndonesiaEmas2045 #GoldenIndonesia #Equatorise

Stunting remains a significant public health challenge that requires collaboration across sectors. Addressing this issue is not solely the responsibility of the government; it calls for active participation from private companies as well. The latest data from the Bekasi Health Department highlights progress: stunting rates have fallen from 17.8% to 13.8% in 2023. Through continued collaboration, the goal is to reduce stunting prevalence further, aiming for below 10% by 2024. At PT Gunung Raja Paksi, we’re committed to support Bekasi Regency's stunting reduction programs. As part of this effort, we’re supporting government's program to provide nutritious food and regular health monitoring over the next three months to 10 children near our operational area who are identified as stunted. salam dari jakarta! we have a focus on indonesia this week and the next, as many of us are here working with partners and exploring new opportunities. indonesia is a large and diverse archepelago with numerous ethnicities, religions and languages. this is itself a key operational challenge in delivering public health in this country. on the island of java, we encounter more than half of all indonesians, with one of the highest population densities in the world, and several large cities, and therefore predominantly urban health challenges. in kalimantan and other more distal islands there are still hunter-gatherer communities beginning to adopt settled agriculture and basic forms of village or town living. on the island of sumbawa, we encounter a thin settlement of less than five hundred thousand people, many of whom are beginning to migrate to other countries on account of the limited opportunities back home. across these diverse demographic, cultural and geographic variations, however, we often encounter the same basic challenges over and over again. children need quality nutrition to avoid stunting, mothers need support from families and extended networks after childbirth, we must fight anemia, tuberculosis, prediabetes, hypertension, heart disease and other forms of avoidable morbidity and premature death. as in many other parts of the world, public is chronically underfunded and we will always have more challenges than resources to overcome them. and this is why we must keep innovating at the level of services, delivery and financing models, partnerships and technology, so that we can do more with less. over the rest of the week we have several meetings with potential partner agencies with whom we hope to work to begin creating new models that will better serve the people of indonesia.

Frequent capacity buildings are important in nurturing local communities. Through Parenting Class sessions, we highlighted that nutrition fulfillment for children, healthy and varied food, as well as healthy lifestyle, are key factors in ensuring children, especially in 3 villages in West Sumbawa District, receive best start in life. Parenting Class is part of the stunting reduction acceleration program, a collaboration between PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk , Government of West Sumbawa District and YCP (CARE in Indonesia). #YayasanCAREPeduli #CAREIndonesia #ParentingClass #StuntingReduction

Less than 1% of children are benefiting from the Bantuan Kanak-kanak to reduce hardcore poverty. And UNICEF Malaysia’s case studies in KL and Penang PPR flats found that many children are reducing food consumption and eating less than 3 meals a day. It should shock us as an aspiring high income nation to see such stunting numbers. Universal cash transfer for children is the way forward to ensure nobody falls through the cracks of social protection due to income brackets. Living on The Edge case study: https://lnkd.in/g3vhK6sa
