A new Armed Forces Carer’s Passport has been launched for military personnel who have caregiving responsibilities. It means they won’t have to renegotiate the necessary arrangements from scratch when they move between roles or have a change in manager. For more detail 👉 https://lnkd.in/eZQWvg5f Announced on Carers Rights Day, the passport acknowledges operational needs remain the priority. But it ensures the carer’s circumstances are formally considered and promotes consistency in how they are supported.

Yes, even if you weren't directly injured in the military, certain conditions may still be service-connected on a presumptive basis. This means the VA may recognize specific disabilities as related to your service, even if they weren't documented at the time. https://lnkd.in/eKpEkYTM #veteransupport #veterans #service #veteransusa

The VA doesn’t require nexus letters; however, they frequently provide the missing link between military service and your disability to help bolster your VA claim! A nexus letter can help: - Establish a clear link between your condition and military service. - Clarify complex cases. - Provide additional evidence needed to support an appeal. If you are filing for a VA secondary condition, it’s highly recommended that you obtain a nexus letter to help bridge the connection between your two conditions. Check out our blog to learn more about nexus letters! #Veteran #VAclaims #Nexus #Serviceconnection #Nexusletters

As we take a hard look at Quality-of-Life measures for the DOD, military spouse employment MUST be a part of the conversation. According to the Blue Star Family’s 2023 Military Family Lifestyle Survey, this is the number one concern for Active Duty Spouses. There is nearly 600,000 civilian spouses of active-duty military service members. Military Spouse unemployment sits around 21% and underemployment is believed to be 31-51% among military spouses. Military spouse employment gets increasingly more difficult when stationed overseas due to the varying SOFA agreements with individual host nations. Providing better understanding the specific SOFA agreement for each duty location overseas would make huge strides to improving military spouse employment and thus Quality-of-Life for our military families. #HomefrontReadiness #QualityofLife #MilitarySpouse #MilitarySpouseEmployment #KnowBetterDoBetter -Blue Star Families: Military Family Lifestyle Survey (2023) https://lnkd.in/etnMK8KC -Understanding Status of Forces Agreements: https://lnkd.in/evs83VDU
