It was an incredible day.. It is for the first time the key stakeholders of skill ecosystem, ie National Skill Develipmrnt cirportation, representatives of 14 sector skill Councils, Universities, Polytechnnic colleges, Arts and Scince colleges and Engineering colleges along with Governmrnt officials and Industry representatives met together. Faculties from Universities and Higher Edducaction institution got opportunities to interact with representatives of I diatribes, NSDC and SSC. Day one of the Association of MBAs global conference is underway. A fantastic keynote from Stefano Caselli from the SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, highlighted, among many aspects of the climate global MBAs and Business Schools are currently operating within, the need for continuous and lifelong learning. Do you/they/we operate as a 'lone ranger' or part of a larger network of shared knowledge? Or, indeed, is the distinction between the two a basic need to be able to swap and change as the need (and business) requires it? 🎉Excited to share a milestone!🎉#Refrigeration_and_Air_Conditioning I successfully completed the NPTEL certification program in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning offered by IIT Roorkee through the SWAYAM platform. This rigorous online course covered whole knowledge related Refrigeration and provided a comprehensive understanding of Air- Conditioning. Learning Experience: I found the NPTEL platform user-friendly and well-structured. The course materials, including video lectures, readings, and assignments, were engaging and challenging. Today I met a young man working on a till, he was saying that he really wanted to do engineering as a Btec but his parents said he was too clever, too smart, and had to do A levels. This is a typical attitude which is concerning as parents and many other adults still don't understand the value of vocational education. I have taught both A Levels and vocational qualifications, many of the students taking the vocational pathway had originally started out on an A-level programme, and when they started on the vocational option said I really wish I'd known about this beforehand. Vocational be it Btec or Cambridge technicals or whatever are fabulous for taking students who maybe didn't perform too well at GCSE onto University, but also maintaining the interest of extremely focused young people who want to specialise from the age of 16. EPK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aldai TTI (a registered public TVET institution) to launch a dual training model. This approach combines traditional classroom learning at the TTI with hands-on industrial experience and mentorship at EPK, bridging the crucial skills gap and better preparing trainees for the workforce. Here's how it works: TTI trainers and EPK mentors collaborate closely to develop a comprehensive training plan, divided into phases spent both at the TTI and on-site at EPK facilities. We're proud to announce that 20 talented students will have the opportunity to spend 50% of their learning time right at EPK, gaining invaluable skills in agriculture, building, and electricals.
