The Power of the Dark Side I had the honor of tuning into the dark side for Brkthru’s annual One Day Sale event where our team theme was “Empires Strike Back”. Here are some words of wisdom from the Dark Lord of the Sith. Be careful not to choke on your aspirations. Regardless of whether you're an agency, advertiser, or seller we all want to grow. As I tune into the dark side I am reminded to play the long game and have patience. I find your lack of faith disturbing. Any large project is often going to involve multiple departments and stakeholders. Sometimes it’s hard for people on the outside to see the big picture of the plan. This dark side takeaway is two fold: have faith in your people and also work to share your vision of the big picture in a way that is digestible for people on the outside. You don’t know the power of the dark side! I think emotion or passion has been a huge ally but also a hindrance for me as I grow throughout my career. Tuning into the dark side of the force can power your relationships with trust through authenticity but be careful not to dive in too deep and lose your head.
