ASALASER & RESEARCH A new study by Alayat et al. (2024) has shown that Hilterapia® treatments can lead to: - Increased skin temperature - Improved nerve conduction velocity (NCV) - Reduced distal motor latency (DML) These results suggest potential benefits for nerve recovery and regeneration. The physiological evolution of the healing of a muscle tear is determined by the initial predominance of an inflammatory reaction, subsequently moving to a progressive formation of fibrosis. Despite having less tissue differentiation than MRI, ultrasound can differentiate, with lower sensitivity and specificity, the three stages of scar status: 1.- soft scar: After 7 days, a hypoechogenic area is observed at the level of the tear. 2.- immature scar: After 12-14 days, an intermediate echogenicity is seen, with slightly hyper and hypoechogenic areas interspersed. 3.-mature scar: a partially homogeneous hyperechogenicity is identified in the area of the lesion.

Neuromodulation has emerged as a cutting-edge field in medicine, offering innovative approaches to treating a range of conditions by modulating neural activity. This involves techniques that either stimulate or inhibit nerve activity, providing a targeted and often less invasive alternative to traditional therapies. The systematic review, entitled 'Effects of neuromodulation on treatment of recurrent anal fissure: A systematic review,' investigates the effectiveness of these therapies in managing this challenging condition.

Did you know that light can literally power up our cells like tiny batteries? 🔋 A recent study published in Scientific Reports showed how specific light wavelengths can boost the energy production of isolated mitochondria (the powerhouse of our cells)! 🧬⚡ When your cells have more ATP, they have more energy to work properly. Light therapy, like the kind we use with our Red +2 Torch, helps your cells produce more ATP, giving your body the boost it needs to feel better, recover faster, and perform at its best. ⚡✨ That means potential benefits like: 🔥 Enhanced cellular energy 💪 Reduced inflammation ✨ and Accelerated recovery! Gubra 3D imaging for obesity! Another great demonstrating how powerfull 3D imaging can be..here for understanding adipocyte biology! We have come a long way since good old 2D histology for understanding concepts like browning, vascularizarion, inflammatory infiltration etc., in regards to adipose tissue remodelling! Not to mention 3D imaging within pancreas, brain, kidney. Well done Gubra 3D imaging team headed by Jacob Hecksher-Sørensen 🙌
Regular fasting periods promotes insulin and leptin surges that stimulate adipose tissue browning, a process that has gained broad attention as a potential treatment for #obesity. This study is now published in Cell Reports (Cell Press) by the Rajat Singh lab from UCLA and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Gubra contributed 3D light sheet fluorescence microscopy imaging data on adipose tissue remodelling, indicating that intermittent feeding reduces adipocyte mean size while increasing vascular and nerve density. Engineering endothelial cell exosomes to accelerate peripheral nerve repair: in their latest work, Ningning Yang, Yuanyi Wang, Nan Zhou at Zhengzhou University and collaborators demonstrated that NTN1-high endothelial cells are a crucial component of the vascular niche, promoting angiogenesis, axon regeneration, and that exosomes derived from these cells played a crucial role in the formation of the vascular niche https://lnkd.in/ehyHviCx Their study suggests that constructing a pre-regenerative niche with NTN1-derived exosomes could create a supportive microenvironment for nerve repair and enhance functional recovery following peripheral nerve injury. A recent study by Gerdesmeyer et al. (2024) demonstrates that Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) not only accelerates and enhances bone formation in human osteoblasts but does so while maintaining a balanced, non-overstimulating effect. The therapy has shown promise in supporting the healing and regeneration of bone tissue, offering a potentially safe and efficient treatment option for various bone-related conditions, including fractures, osteonecrosis, and improving the integration of orthopedic implants. These findings open up new avenues for non-invasive therapies in orthopedic and regenerative medicine, with EMTT showing potential as a key player in enhancing patient outcomes.
𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁-𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸: A new cell study (Gerdesmeyer et al. 2024) reveals for the first time the positive biological effects of Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) on primary human osteoblasts (hOBs). All processes of osteogenesis – from differentiation to mineralization – are accelerated and upregulated without causing an excessive effect. The findings highlight the potential of EMTT as a beneficial, safe, and time-saving treatment for various bone-related conditions such as fracture healing, osteonecrosis, and implant osseointegration.
