Hello Everyone. I hope everyone is doing great. Well, well, well, It is time to share one experience that my friend had (it is not about me. 😉)) I am describing my friend as myself in the post, so it will be easy to describe the incident. So, a couple of weeks ago, I was leaving for my home from the office, and it was about 10 p.m. When I reached the parking area, I saw a few employees of another team having a discussion. Out of curiosity, I reached there and came to know that they had a farewell party as it was the last day for a female team member of their team in this company. I also knew that team member, but I was not aware that she was leaving the organization, as we barely had any talk or discussion. Now coming back to the actual point, everyone was worried that it was nighttime and how to arrange a drop-off for that female employee. At night, they did not want to arrange a taxi because it was not safe. Just to mention here, a few employees' residences were just 2 kilometers away from the office, and they could have easily dropped her. But perhaps they were too busy and worried that they did not think about it 🤣. When I reached there, they asked me to drop her off, and I just wanted to mention that my residence is about 27 kilometers away and the drop-off location is opposite my location. But there were no issues; I agreed to drop her. Later, after dropping her off, I called the guy who requested that I drop off her team member, but he did not pick up my call, and I was really wondering why he could not pick up my call this time when I was with a female employee and could be in need of something or there could be any emergency. Note:- For some people, it is more important to worry about the problem rather than solve it. But for this, you should have the talent to grab someone to whom you can assign it.

Answers: https://lnkd.in/d4msEdEp #ITCareers #HelpDeskLife #TechStruggles Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve been working in IT help desk and system admin roles for nearly a decade now, and I’ve got to ask: Is it just me, or does it often feel like we’re the ones tackling all the tasks nobody else wants to touch? 🤔 Here’s what I mean: Always on Call: It seems we’re the first ones everyone turns to when something goes wrong, even if it’s not really our job! Juggling Responsibilities: We often have to deal with a multitude of issues, from basic tech support to complex system management—talk about wearing a lot of hats! 🎩 Keeping Things Running: It feels like our main role is to keep the digital wheels turning while others get to focus on their core tasks. I genuinely want to know: How do you guys feel about your role in IT? Do you find yourself handling tasks that seem beneath your experience? What tips do you have for navigating this aspect of our profession? How do you set boundaries so that you’re not overwhelmed by everyone else’s problems? Your experiences could really shed light on this somewhat frus...

Kaju brings over half a decade of experience and has primarily worked in the EPOS and education sector. As a second-line IT support technician, he handles a client-facing job, which brings a lot of challenges with it! Recently, he helped one of our clients with their power automation forms. This is what he had to say! “As part of the technical support for clients, we're often asked to produce new solutions to fix long standing issues or automate processes that traditionally take their staff hours to complete manually. In this instance, I was given a problem by our Client who asked if there was a way to digitize their absence requests, find a way to digitally involved several people, while also halving the time and potential for errors in the existing process. It took a little time, but after having getting really involved in understanding the current process and then coming up with an electronic method, we produced a system where absences are reported in Microsoft Forms, and Power Automate then took that information and posted it into several required places, including email alerts, spreadsheets and documentation. It even has the ability for staff approvers to make comments or authorise as required. It's then automatically logged, and an audit trail is kept. This new process has saved admin hours' time week to week and simplified the entire process greatly. Its success has led to us start to do the same for other manual processes and save time there too. Now, the absence automation system is being used on a day-to-day basis by several Clients. I learned, tested and produced this all as part of the existing technical service with no extra costs. This is something I am particularly proud of, because I managed to find and deliver a custom solution, all as part of normal site visits, that really makes a big difference to many people on a day-to-day basis.” . . . #meettheteam #techsupportservices #itsupportlife #miltonkeynes #itsupportspecialist #technicalsupportsolutions #manageditsolutions #savvyit #workproblems
