Balancing rigorous academics, internships, and projects has been a rewarding challenge. 💼📚 Here are some insights from the ride: Pressure is a Privilege: Deadlines, case studies, and group projects often feel like a burden, but they’re shaping me for the fast-paced corporate world. Resilience is Key: It’s tough managing stress and expectations, but the sense of accomplishment with each completed task makes it all worth it. My MBA journey - Reflecting on Failures and Growth: 📍 During my first year of MBA, I suffered heavily because of academic intensity, trying to adjust to the fast pace of the program and transitioning into a different lifestyle altogether 📍 No matter how much I tried to stay positive, I ended up comparing myself to others and being nervous and anxious 📍 There were days when I did not feel like doing anything at all which only made me feel worse 📍 During my summer internship, I poured my heart and soul into the project, but unfortunately it did not translate into a PPO 📍 I participated in several corporate case competitions, investing countless hours preparing and strategising. Despite my best efforts, I didn’t always clinch the top spot Failure was a constant companion on this journey but it was also my greatest teacher. It allowed me to seek support, develop coping mechanisms, revisit my strategies of doing things and developing within me a willingness to learn and improve. As I step into the professional world, I carry these lessons with me, knowing that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Remember, behind every smiling face you see on social media, there is a person facing their own challenges. Let this be a gentle nudge to practise kindness towards yourself and others. From challenging coursework to insightful projects, every moment has been a stepping stone toward my goal. It’s been about learning the power of collaboration, gaining invaluable insights from industry leaders, and navigating the transition from theoretical pre-reads to dynamic live projects and intense schedules. These months were a blend of fierce competition, lasting friendships, and countless late-night sessions fueled by pizza and energy drinks. Amidst the ‘Red Walls of Contradictions’ where limits do not count! I still remember the day I stepped into business school, eager to trade theory for practice. Almost 1.5 years flew by in a whirlwind of late-night group projects, grueling exams, transformative summer internships, and leadership roles that tested my mettle. My MBA journey began with a reality check: I wasn't the smartest person in the room. But I was determined to learn from everyone. Classmates from diverse backgrounds and industries broadened my perspective, challenging my assumptions and fueling my curiosity. As a member of the highly coveted Admissions Team, I faced a new challenge: delivering results under pressure. With the stakes at their highest, I learned to: - Manage conflicting priorities - Motivate teams towards a common goal - Make tough decisions with limited information - Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders But it was my Summer Internship that pushed me to my limits. Thrown into unknown places, surrounded by alien faces, I had: - No clear direction or guidance - No one to share my struggles or successes - No roadmap to success - Hundreds of diverse individuals to meet and learn from daily - Constantly adapting to new realities, challenges, and expectations It was tough. I felt stuck, lost, and uncertain.
