He has a good point. But it is not even true historically and empirically that the private sector is the engine of growth(even the idea of growth is now seriously contested but let us leave that). The public sector is the real engine and the private sector is the battery at best. In philosophical terms the public sector is the necessary condition for national transformation. It is like oxygen to life.
