Hello my LinkedIn Fellaz, I want to share some interesting insights that can be obtained from the book "The Grid" written by Matt Watkinson. All the contents of this book are very interesting, if we are usually used to hearing explanations regarding the Business Model Canvas at business events in Indonesia then you could say that you will easily understand the business model given by Matt Watkinson through his book "The Grid". This book does a deep dive which is very, very easy to understand, especially for building a business and increasing our business from a sales perspective. On the Wants & Needs Grid, I just realized that there is 1 important point in the goals which I think is important and sometimes we don't realize it. That people/target markets apart from having their main desires, also have hidden goals/subtext which is a problem that they want to solve but they are reluctant to say it because it goes into a realm that can be said to be personal. 1. For example, if I take the business example from Refyn Indonesia, then: a. Super Objective(Client): They want to visualize the shape of their vehicle before certain paint is applied directly, this is to prevent the client from being unhappy with the final result. b. Hidden Goals(Client): Each individual has their unique reference so sometimes no color has ever been applied to their vehicle before. They want to know how their unique reference turned out. 2. Then if I take a business example from StafBook (YC W22): a. Super Objective Client (HRD & Ops Department): Want to shorten their time on administrative/repetitive tasks so they can focus on more crucial tasks. b. Hidden Goals (HRD & Ops Department): They don't like doing their work by jumping to other tools, it takes a lot of time and increases the occurrence of human errors in their work. Especially their work is always related to the employee life cycle. I also put my personal explanation for Wants & Needs Point on PDF down below, and of course, I advise friends to try reading the book, maybe you will get a lot of insight.
