Promising positions
We're hiring at Apartment List! 2 great opportunities to join our sales team. The 1st opening is on our expansion sales team, focused on the mid-market segment. This is our fastest growing customer segment and is a blend of account management and sales. You're a great fit for this role if you enjoy being incredibly engaged with customers and also have an aptitude for selling. Ideally, you've got experience in both account management and quota carrying sales. This is an East Coast position and you must be EST to be considered. Mid Market Expansion Sales Role: https://lnkd.in/gv5kMnhH The 2nd opening is on our acquisition sales team. This is a hunting role focused on new business. This sales segment is moving fast and they are on a roll! Coming in at over 120% to quota last month. You're a good fit for this position if you've been in outbound and full cycle sales. And this position is flexible on time zone but we are prioritizing west coast / pacific time zone candidates. Acquisition Sales Role: https://lnkd.in/gUxwJpMZ I share a few thoughts on these positions as well as why I'm so excited being 119 days into my time at Apartment List in the video below. Would love to see one or both of these filled from my network.

My Sales Director posted this message yesterday and it has caused quite the buzz! I find it interesting that all the people agreeing with him tend to be all the sales leaders who are doing the hiring, and the push back are from the job seekers. Sales people...look at what the Sales Leaders are saying, learn from this. Just like you need to make 100 calls to get that 1-5 responses, you have to put in the effort to sell yourself. And if no one is doing that, and you choose to be the outlier...think of how that will help you stand out.
We're currently hiring for a Sales position. We've had 45-50 people apply. Of those that have applied ... less than 15% have reached out personally, sent a separate email or tried to contact me to separate themselves from the pack. Am i expecting too much or is this common from people applying these days? This is a six to multi-six figure role and is what i consider to be one of the best sales opportunities in the State ... is it that difficult to apply for THIS job rather than just applying for A job!?

Making the wrong hire for a Sales Rep is more costly than you think.. It isn't just another job posting... Things to keep in mind (cost wise) when recruiting: - Recruitment expenses - Training and onboarding - Revenue lost in sales due to the lag time of having a rep in the area - Relationships with current clients not being serviced properly - Stress on another rep that is taking over the territory during lag time Theses expenses add up very quickly! Make sure you're doing your part on utilizing the correct resources and a solid process to hire on a good Sales Rep.
