Thanks Jasmin Major to you and all the team for great collaboration, Challenge really does Work
🏆 What a week! After almost a decade of research and innovation, Challenge Works announced Sysmex Astrego AB as the deserving £8m winners of the Longitude Prize on #AntimicrobialResistance. Their winning #AMRdiagnostic test, the PA-100 System, can detect #UTI within 15 mins and the right #antibiotic for a patient in 45, drastically reducing the 2-3 day wait that patients face today. "Had I had the new PA-100 UTI test made possible by the Longitude Prize, I’m certain that I, like millions of others, would not have been sentenced to the relentless pain that I am now forced to endure, rendering access to a normal life practically impossible." Sarah Heaton, patient advocate and campaigner. The conclusion of this 10-year journey is really just the end of the opening chapter, as Sysmex Astrego work to scale-up and bring their groundbreaking PA-100 system to patients that need it. And for us, Longitude Prize on AMR will be the first of many Longitude Prizes incentivising #breakthrough innovation to solve urgent challenges facing society. It's been a privilege to deliver the closing years of such an important programme with our dedicated judging panel, our incredible partners and the Challenge Works Team Tris Dyson Daniel Berman Maxwell Meadows Shae 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 H.
