👩🏾⚖️HBCU LAW SCHOOL COMMISSION:North Carolina Central University has formed a 13-member commission, chaired by former law school dean Raymond C. Pierce, to shape the future of its law school. The commission will provide recommendations on ABA requirements, admissions, courses, student support, bar passage rates, and post-graduation outcomes. The commission will begin work in January 2025 and will issue its report in May. WHY IT MATTERS: The NCCU School of Law, which marked its 85th anniversary in March, is one of six law schools on historically Black campuses. Together, they graduate a disproportionate percentage of the nation’s Black lawyers. @North Carolina Central University To read more, click the link

What a great travel season this fall! I had the opportunity to share information about the Case Western Reserve University School of Law all over the country, including schools in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, and more. What I have learned from my conversations with prospective students are that they are so passionate about pursuing careers as lawyers and about advocating for clients. The future of the legal field definitely looks bright! #lawschool #cwru

I chose DePaul College of Law for its outstanding reputation and deep connections within the Chicago legal community. My roles as an associate editor of Law Review and an active member of the Student Bar Association provided invaluable writing, networking and career development opportunities. The career services team offered excellent interview guidance, and the strong alumni involvement in the Chicago trial lawyers' community has been crucial in shaping my career. Additionally, the classes are rigorous, the professors are highly engaged and committed to student success, and the student body is exceptional. If given the chance, I would choose DePaul again in a heartbeat! Go Blue Demons! #DePaulLawProud -Caitlin Barry (JD '21) Attorney, Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP

Belonging is a child being able to see examples of who they are and hope to be in what they are learning. It's like how my daughter saw judges and attorneys who looked like her in her learning journey, inspiring her own aspirations to become an attorney. This representation can powerfully shape a student's future like it did my daughter, Howard University Legal Communications major. 🔗Get more insights in our complimentary 'Inclusivity' Checklist: https://bit.ly/42q2UD8
