The sea, with its ever-changing moods and motions, has always been a rich source of inspiration for artists across the world. Its vast expanse, mysterious depths, and vibrant life forms provide endless material for exploration and expression in various forms of art. For painters, the sea offers a myriad of colors, shades, and textures. The way light bounces off the water's surface, the formation of the waves, and the subtle gradations of color at different times of the day can all be interpreted in unique and creative ways. In music, the sounds of the sea have directly influenced compositions, with rhythms mimicking the crashing waves or the calm ebb of the tides. Songs and melodies often use the sea as a backdrop, evoking feelings of longing, adventure, and love. Photographers and filmmakers are drawn to capture the sea's raw beauty and power. The play of light, the movement of sea creatures, and the drama of storms all provide stunning visual narratives. LIFE AND ART The art(s) are important - vital, really - on an individual level and also on a broader, cultural level. And it makes a difference which kinds of art(s) we are discussing. Usually, when we have topics like this, we mean the most creative arts - the ones in which artists go from nothing to something. This includes painting, sculpture, writing (of all kinds), choreography, and composing music. It does not include the making of utilitarian objects, nor does it include collaborative efforts such as acting, dancing or singing. The art world suffers from a paucity of vocabulary, so I’ll call them the super-creative arts. These super-creative arts all live in what I long ago termed “the land beyond words”. This is the place in our psyches and souls where the linear form of talking and writing - of words - doesn’t serve adequately to express our full meaning and intentions. In writing, this inadequacy is why metaphor was developed. It is also why we change our facial expressions and use varying tones of voice - in order to express more than our mere words will carry. Music can convey our deepest feelings, and so can visual art and dance. They can work in the unspoken but intuited and well-trod pathways of emotional and spiritual longings, of grief, of love, of despair, and most importantly, of compassion and hope. When an artist opens themselves and creates deeply, they reveal an aspect of their humanity. In so doing, they provide a mirror available for others to use when they listen or view the art. In aggregate, over time, all the “mirrors” that artists create in any historical period become the most important and meaningful information that subsequent civilizations have available. All other data beyond the arts reduces to the equivalent of granary receipts. Through the efforts of super-artists, we can know ourselves more deeply. And we can learn about other cultures and history more intimately, more thoroughly. more richly - and thereby make better decisions about our own lives and societies. Without the arts, we would have only shallow, physical lives, and be mere shadows of our potential humanity. And there would be no such thing as “philosophy:. #art #artistsiva #artist #digitalmarketing #mentalhealth #creativity #management #success #ideas #startup #funding #linkedinartist

There’s this myth floating around that copying is somehow a shortcut in the creative world, especially in MUSIC. The truth is copying is one of the most effective ways to truly understand your craft. Look at Vincent van Gogh. Before he was the legendary artist we all know, he was obsessively copying the greats like Millet and Rembrandt. He wasn’t cheating. He was learning the intricacies of technique, composition, and style. In the past, this wasn’t just accepted—it was encouraged. Musicians, painters, writers—they all started by standing on the shoulders of giants. By copying you’re dissecting and absorbing the skills and nuances that make the greats that good. Copying is not a step back. It's a leap forward. Embrace it, learn from it. And then take what you’ve learned to create something uniquely yours. . . #music #psychology #art #work #skills #violin #learning

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗔 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗟 - POST 7 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝘼𝙍𝙏: 𝘽𝙀𝙔𝙊𝙉𝘿 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙇𝙄𝙀𝙎 𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗹 does not imply that artists are aware of the structures underlying their creations. To suggest otherwise would contradict the very essence of art. To claim that artists consciously shape their tales, music, or murals to fit predefined structures is to deny the existence of the precipice from which to leap, the abyss into which to plunge. Explanation alone cannot capture the magic of Enchantment. Through their art, artists create a milieu that elevates the Poetic Soul. Artists lead us to the edge of the cliff, to the brink of the abyss, but they cannot push us over the edge. The artist engenders the potential for a willful plunge, conjuring the desire to dive into the abyss beyond explanation, where lies True Enchantment. Embrace the mystique and profundity of art, where structure meets the sublime and explanation yields to Enchantment. https://lnkd.in/dPjGP5Qf I am seeking a new agent/representation.
