Last year, I had the honor of meeting Prof. Mari Elka Pangestu, a world-class economist and a driving force behind Indonesia's Creative Economy. As the Former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, her leadership has been pivotal in driving Indonesia's Creative Economy as a New Economic Force. She believes Indonesia must diversify its economic strengths while maintaining sustainability. Relying solely on capital and technology is no longer sufficient to maintain competitiveness and economic growth. Instead, she highlights the importance of creativity, innovative ideas, and entrepreneurship in adding value to the economy.
