Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering’s Post

As Queensland heads to the polls, ATSE is proud to present our vision to build the state’s progress across renewable, digital and manufacturing innovations. We’re calling for: 📱 Investing in digital skills in the regions ⚡ Incentivising efficient energy solutions 💧 A state-wide sustainable water management plan 🔬 Boosting adoption of emerging technologies 📊 Implementing an integrated population and land use plan Kylie Walker, ATSE CEO, highlights that the Queensland Government only invests 0.07% of its Gross State Product on developing new innovations – to meet Queensland’s ambitions, this needs to change. ATSE’s Queensland Division Chair Dr Sue Keay FTSE, representing over 150 of Queensland’s leading engineers and technologists, said, “Queensland has the ability to lead the nation as Australia’s innovation state, but we must invest in STEMM education and industries.” ATSE encourages all candidates to engage with Queensland’s science and technology community to build a more prosperous and resilient Queensland. 🔗 Read more about ATSE’s vision for Queensland here: https://lnkd.in/g6ftZwKK
