MAJOR CHORD PROGRESSION #pianobasics 29 A major chord progression is a sequence of chords built on the major scale of a particular key. The most common major chord progression is the I-V-vi-IV progression, which is also known as the "pop progression" or the "I-V-vi-IV chord progression." This progression is used in various genres and can be found in many popular songs. In the key of C major, the I-V-vi-IV chord progression would be: C major (I) G major (V) Am (vi) F major (IV) Here are some examples of songs that use the major chord progression: 1. "Stir it Up" by Bob Marley 2. "Let It Be" by The Beatles 3. "No Woman No Cry" by Bob Marley 4. "Love Someone" by Justin Bieber 5. "Love Story" by Taylor Swift 6. "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey 7. "Hey Soul Sister" by Train 8. "Someone Like You" by Adele This progression is used in various genres of music and can be transposed to any key. It's a good tool for beginners to lay a solid foundation for building harmonic motions. Knowledge of diatonic chords will help to know the position of these chords to effectively transpose the progression to other keys. Below is I - V -vi - IV transposed to different keys: C - G - Am - F D - A - Bm - E E - B - C#m - A F - C - Dm - G G - D - Em - C Am - F - G - D Bm - E - F#m - G And so on.... #prosam #pianotutor

If you are interested in the study of nostalgia, this is fascinating data...reported in The Washington Post back in May, 2024 (seems so long ago). A few takeaways: - Age defines nostalgia peaks, not specific eras like the 1950s. - Nostalgia centers around formative years, particularly ages 4 to 19. - Music nostalgia peaks around age 17. Who's your favorite band? https://lnkd.in/gEv3pCib.

"CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS." Just let that sink in for a moment. 🧠 I absolutely LOVE listening to rap and hip-hop music. Whether it's during my workout or on my commute, hip-hop and rap music are always something I love to tune into. However, I will acknowledge the fact that this genre is pretty notorious for its often horrible lyrics. YET STILL, I've actually managed to find a quote in the British rapper Central Cee's new single "One by One" (https://lnkd.in/gbYYDksP quote that, in my opinion, really has a deeper meaning and a lot of truth to it. 🇬🇧✨ It's really just these three simple words (also the title of his upcoming album 2025): CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS. 🔥 Oftentimes, we overlook the fact that true greatness simply does take a lot of time and patience. No matter how many hours you work or how many things you're doing right, you will never become truly amazing overnight. 🌙 It's important to take things "one by one" and work over long periods of time WITHOUT seeing the results of your work immediately. Always remember, one day, IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT. 💪 All in all, I can just speak for myself: This quote really inspired me. What's your opinion? 🤔 #rap #hiphop #lyrics #greatness #centralcee #quote #cantrushgreatness #greatness #patience #motivation #inspiration #hardwork #consistency #grind #onebyone

Here's something wild about weakness: Sometimes your biggest "problem" becomes your superpower. Take Scatman John. He was a jazz pianist who struggled with stuttering. For decades. Felt shame about it. Hid from it. Battled depression because of it. Then at age 53 (yeah, 53!) he made a bold decision: Instead of hiding his stutter, he incorporated it into his music. He combined it with jazz scatting (a style with deep roots in African American musical tradition from the likes of Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway and Ella Fitzgrald) and some dance beats. The result? "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)" became a worldwide hit in 1995. But here's the real point: The things that make us different can lead to unique perspectives or approaches. Not because they're "superpowers" – but because they shape how we see the world. And sometimes – not always … but sometimes – it’s our different perspective that contribute to creating something unique. What's a perspective you have that others might not? #marketing #personaldevelopment
