Excited to share that Jeronimo Cox Jr., our talented Integration and Software Engineer at RESEPI, attended ICRA, one of the premier academic conferences for robotics! ICRA has evolved tremendously over the years. Originally a platform for presenting peer-reviewed technical papers, it now includes an impressive expo and exhibition showcasing cutting-edge technologies. This year, the conference had an impressive 40% paper acceptance rate. Although Jeronimo didn’t present a paper this time, he attended insightful presentations on new advancements in localization, mapping, and robot teaming. Thanks to the support from his advisor, Tomo, Jeronimo brought back invaluable techniques to enhance our projects at RESEPI. He also gathered key insights into the latest industry needs to make our Gen 2 tool even better for autonomy solutions. The event highlighted significant strides in humanoid robotics and dexterous grippers, but it’s clear that mapping and localization remain crucial and rapidly growing fields.
