Additionally, we have applied for a licence for crowdfunding through Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador, which will allow the diversification of our protocols to offer a menu of options to our current and future real estate partners 🌎 Why El Salvador? - because we have some very exciting news for you from central and South America. We are super excited about these announcements and know the entire community will definitely be buzzing about it on Monday the 22nd of April - another reason to celebrate Earth's Day & St George's Day. 🇪🇺 We have a number of property partners in the EU. To maximise this opportunity we are working with a German partner (soon to be announced) that will accelerate our ability to to tokenize right across 27 EU-Countries. The groundwork for this application is laid, and we expect a positive response within the next 4-5 months - Our initial application will be in Germany, regulated by BaFin. MiCA has established the framework for digital assets, providing European countries 18 months for implementation. EU nations are actively implementing the framework ahead of schedule. Libertum is working with a globally respected Law firm in Ireland on regulatory compliance to MiFID 2 and MiCA. DONT SHARE! This Friday, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) warned Europeans against sharing investment and stock advice on social media. In the last couple of years, following the rise of popular retail investment apps, peer-to-peer investment communities have been growing on social media. Our report from 2021 highlighted and delved into this trend. The trend is a double-edged sword: On one hand, sharing investment advice on social media makes the stock market much more accessible to small retail investors who wish to grow their savings by themselves, without paying huge fees to banks and investment firms. It empowers smaller investors and helps raise financial literacy levels. On the other hand, it's the WILD WEST, full of gunslingers and no sheriffs. Nobody knows who has what incentives to share what. No one knows who has the right levels of knowledge and insights. It's a mecca for PUMP and DUMP schemes, bots, and crypto scammers. I believe we need better and stronger regulations on financial influencers (finfluencers), and we need new frameworks to detect more advanced financial scams on social media. (Simple ones are easy to spot). I also believe ESMA is doing a great job in trying to create better definitions! At the same time, I can't help but wonder if setting the same standards for "normal" people sharing peer-to-peer investment perspectives and trying to help each other, as for professional players is the way forward. Is current investor protection regulation updated for a social media age, and are smaller retail investors actually being limited by the rules trying to protect them?
