It’s great seeing the next generation being given the opportunity to have exposure to industrial automation. Thank you Autotec Solutions for taking the time to give students the opportunity to learn more about our industry!
Earlier this week, our team – alongside Brenda Osler from Richmond Hill Economic Development – participated in a #YRtech site visit at Maple Advanced Robotics Inc. (MARI). This innovative Richmond Hill, York Region-based robotics company is specializing in AI-driven software platforms for the advancement and commercialization of robotics and machine vision in advanced manufacturing.
MARI is currently working with industry leaders like Magna International, a global auto parts company headquartered in York Region. Their AI software solutions are being used to create maximum efficiency for autonomous robot activities like sanding and buffing metal and wood products. Their software adapts to teach itself at a pace far faster than traditional robot programming, leading to tasks being done quicker and with a higher degree of precision.
This is an excellent example of a company in York Region leveraging access to top Canadian talent to develop innovative solutions for opportunities where software and hardware intersect on a global scale. This is the strength of the #YRtech ecosystem that is home to over 4,900 ICT companies!
MARI's technology was developed with support from NGen Canada and has recently received a second round of funding to continue to advance their AI-software solutions. Thank you to Executive Vice President, Yi Li, for showing our team around and highlighting the impressive technology this #YRtech company is developing!
We look forward to Maple Advanced Robotics Inc. being part of the York Region and broader Canadian delegation heading to HANNOVER MESSE next year. If you're part of an innovative #YRtech company interested in learning more about the opportunity at Hannover Messe next year, connect with one of our Senior Business Development Advisors, Gordon Scheel, CITP or Katie Maginn to setup a call or potentially even a site visit like this!

Local performance is not necessarily REAL performance.
Yesterday I was speaking with my good friend and mentor Antonio MICCOLI.
He said he understood how Progress Lab was different from other #MES suppliers from a business model perspective, but he could not see how the #ProgressPlatform was different as a product.
I replied:
"Manufacturers must coordinate #RnD, #production and #quality. With other systems, it's like doing 1000 meters/yard race changing car multiple times on the way. It's a total waste. You can be driving the fastest cars in the world, but you're never going to get good performance overall."
The Progress Platform takes you from beginning to end.
Right out of the box.
Plus, our platform is incredibly easy to use. You don't usually get frontline operators onboarded in five minutes. That's what we do.
You'll feel the difference.
If you want to have a taste, just book an appointment and we'll show you.

Autonomous Drive (AD) was the focus on the agenda for Drive Sweden Forum 2024 in Gothenburg today. Is the technology for AD ready? The conclusion was “yes” for some deployments, but there is much more to be done to deploy it in less restricted and known areas. There is a need for new technologies like BlincVision Terranet AB (Nasdaq TERRNT B) to enable autonomous drive worldwide and speed up the time of implementation. If done right, autonomous drive can save more lives in the traffic!
Today, Drive Sweden Forum has taken place in Gothenburg. Our colleagues, CEO Magnus Andersson and CCO Jonas Renander, have been attending. Drive Sweden Forum is the annual meeting place for actors at the forefront of driving the development of a connected, automated, and sustainable transport system. The day has been filled with presentations (Zenseact, Zeekr Technology Europe, Volvo Autonomous Solutions among others), deep dive sessions, and an exhibition. Many valuable discussions and great interest in BlincVision.
