What's Stopping Europe's EV Boom? Last week, I had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a roundtable at the European New Energy Vehicle Conference, alongside esteemed colleagues like Frank Müller from BEM | Bundesverband eMobilität e.V., Arturo Perez de Lucia Gonzalez from AVERE - The European Association for Electromobility , and Nils Poel from CLEPA - European Association of Automotive Suppliers We engaged in deep discussions about the impact of government policies and regulations on the future of electric vehicles. Key Points from Our Discussion: 🔋 Battery Reliability and Availability: I emphasized the critical need for European companies to produce batteries, ensuring their reliability and availability. This step is vital for giving drivers peace of mind and boosting the adoption of electric vehicles. 🚗 Beyond Pricing Incentives: While financial incentives are important, I argued that clear and unified regulations across Europe are essential for seamless travel across regions and countries, enhancing the EV driving experience. 🤝 Enhancing Cooperation: I highlighted the importance of ongoing collaboration among associations, companies, and policymakers to enhance the EU's competitiveness. ⏩ Emphasis on Speed: I advocated for swift actions and decisions to meet the rapid challenges and competition in the global market. 🎥 Curious about the full discussion? Watch the entire panel here: https://lnkd.in/e2zR58nH It was inspiring to witness such a strong commitment to collaboration. I look forward to continuing these conversations and seeing where our paths cross next! #electricvehicles #Sustainability #Innovation #AutomotiveIndustry #EuropeanUnion

I think that this is a real revolution (big bang) in the field of new transport and logistics chains for the delivery of goods. If we also unify power lines with trolleybus lines, this will give a stunning economic effect. 1. Build power lines on difficult sections of roads - descents and ascents, serpentines and many turns in the road. 2. Use electricity to maintain the temperature regime when transporting perishable goods and temperature controlled goods 3. Replacement of internal combustion engines with huge volumes and installation of generators with an engine capacity 3-4 times smaller than those currently used. 4. Segmentation of the supply of electric current to the lines depending on the location of the transport, And many other factors, taking into account which, we can achieve the maximum effect with minimal cost (expenses) And if we also use AI, and ...................I think so and I would do so. This is my opinion.

This article highlights the critical role of affordable electric vehicles in driving the future of mobility, securing European industry competitiveness, and promoting sustainable innovation—all of which align with our mission at Valeo Full article here https://lnkd.in/gMkUPBje Some interesting questions raised in the article : Why do we need a small, affordable, sustainable electric vehicle (ASEV)? Why do we not have an ASEV in Europe? What can we learn from countries where such AS(E)V exist? How can we promote a European made ASEV? What would be the impact of ASEV on decarbonisation, just transition and European industry competitiveness?

Audi took a bold step in sustainability initiatives with SNG in Germany! With climate change and rising pollution becoming increasingly urgent issues, CNG has emerged as a cleaner fuel alternative. But what if this sustainable option could be even better? In 2013, Audi made that innovation a reality with the Audi e-gas project. This groundbreaking plant was the first of its kind to produce synthetic gas using the power-to-gas principle. By using surplus green electricity, water, and carbon dioxide, the plant created synthetic methane, also known as synthetic natural gas (SNG), or Audi e-gas. This achievement made Audi the first car manufacturer to establish a complete process chain for producing SNG and supported their vision of balanced mobility, aiming for a neutral CO2 balance across the entire mobility chain. Audi set the stage for driving green over a decade ago. Let’s keep it moving forward by adopting sustainable options for a cleaner and greener future for everyone!
