7 things I am telling all my new hires to any data team: 0) take care of yourself - stay within the defined working hours. 1) read the data strategy and the company business strategy. 2) talk to two team members and two non-team members about both strategies. 3) check out the data catalog and BI tool daily. Familiarize yourself with our data. 4) ask all your questions. If your peers can not answer your questions, get to my office. I am interested to learn and improve. 5) Use the onboarding guide and improve at least two things in there. 6) Have fun and make history. What do you recommend to your new hires? 🫶🏼 Share this one with your colleagues and peers who are aiming for authenticity and data leadership as well. ✨ Follow Dr. Markus Schmidberger and Turtle Transformation Limited for more authentic leadership content. #authenticleadership #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #data #datastrategy #newhire #onboarding

It's About People, Not Dashboards..... In today's data-driven world, dashboards are everywhere. They flash metrics, KPIs, and charts, promising a clear view of success. But are we getting lost in the information? Don't get me wrong, data is crucial. But it's the people behind the numbers that truly drive results. Here's why focusing on people is key: 1) Innovation comes from human creativity. Dashboards can't predict the next big thing. It takes passionate people with diverse backgrounds to spark innovation. 2) Motivation fuels performance. Numbers can't inspire or motivate. We need strong leadership, clear communication, and a culture of recognition to keep teams engaged. 3) Building relationships fosters collaboration. Dashboards can't build trust or understanding. It takes open communication, empathy, and a focus on shared goals to create a truly collaborative environment. So, how do we shift the focus? 1️⃣ Use data to empower, not control. Let data guide decisions, not dictate them. Trust your team's expertise and judgment. 2️⃣ Invest in your people. Provide opportunities for growth, development, and feedback. 3️⃣ Celebrate wins (big and small). Recognition goes a long way in boosting morale and driving continued success. Let's not forget the human element in our pursuit of data-driven success. After all, it's the people who make the numbers sing. #PeopleFirst #Leadership #Culture #Data #Innovation #Teamwork #EmployeeEngagement #HumanResources #BusinessSuccess #WorkplaceCulture #Collaboration #GrowthMindset #Inspiration #Success #Motivation #Trust #Communication #EmployeeRecognition #LeadershipDevelopment #BusinessStrategy What are your thoughts? I think of silo-busting as I think about cooking. To be able to confidently combine ingredients to make something delicious, you need a recipe. You need to begin with the end in mind. The 'end' is a discrete project with a well-defined outcome objective. The same is needed to breach silos that have their own sociology, gravity, tradition, and resistance to change. A CX leader needs a 'recipe,' a discreet project that provides a clear outcome objective that binds the stakeholders together. Some of that may address the interests of others, and some may just see it as extra work with no meaningful benefit to their department. The CX project binds people to an achievement and makes breaching silos necessary and meaningful.

Silos can be a challenge for any organization, but I always like to remind everyone: “Silos are more of a mentality than a physical thing. There are no physical walls in place to keep you from talking to your colleagues in another department or from sharing data, information, or what you’re working on with others. Department or business unit leaders choose not to share information or not to collaborate. It’s a leadership issue. It’s a culture issue. It requires a shift in mentality!” The go-to when silos exist is to break them down. But we don’t always have to do that. There may be reasons for their existence in some organizations; it really just depends on the goals of the organization and of the individual silos. In some cases, connecting silos can benefit both employees and customers to balance or outweigh some of the disadvantages that silos present. How do silos impact data sharing? How do you connect silos? What's culture got to do with it? Find out in my latest article. Link in first comment. #silos #employeeexperience #workplace #data #culture #customerexperience

Great teams aren’t found—they’re 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁. 🔥 . . High-performing teams don’t just “happen.” It takes: ⚡ Deep insight into people dynamics, strengths, and gaps. ⚡ The courage to act on what the data reveals. What works? 🏗️ Aligning roles with individual strengths. 📊 Leveraging insights to fuel collaboration and effectiveness. 🚀 Adapting continuously to meet evolving demands. When done right, the results speak for themselves: ✨ Innovation. ✨ Engagement. ✨ Next-level performance. But here’s the kicker—𝚠̲𝚒̲𝚝̲𝚑̲𝚘̲𝚞̲𝚝̲ ̲𝚜̲𝚝̲𝚛̲𝚊̲𝚝̲𝚎̲𝚐̲𝚢̲, potential gets lost, and performance flatlines. So, are your teams thriving—or just getting by?
