Are you curious how many proposals were submitted to the MSCA-DN call on the 27 November? 🤔 We got the numbers for you 😎 : A total of 1,417 proposals were submitted in response to this call 😱 ! The number of proposals for each topic is shown below 👇 : - Doctoral Networks (standard DN): 1249 proposals (88.1% of total) - Industrial Doctorates (DN-ID): 80 proposals (5.6% of total) - Joint Doctorates (DN-JD): 88 proposals (6.2% of total) As the numbers show without a doubt, the Horizon Europe calls are highly competitive! If you want to increase your chance of success, make sure that your proposal is flawless. "ELIXIRxNextGenIT & SEE LIFE: PNRR Platforms Serving the Country" is a unique opportunity to explore some of the new platforms of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and their impact on our country. On June 24 and 25, 2024, two days dedicated to biotechnology and Life Sciences will be held at the University of Milan Bicocca. The event, organized by the IBFM Institute affiliated with the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the CNR, will bring together the scientific community, potential investors, and companies to discover two important CNR infrastructures. The goal of the event is to promote the research infrastructures ELIXIRxNextGenIT and See Life (Strengthening the Italian Infrastructure of Euro-bioimaging) in the field of Life Sciences. Martins & Miloslav Polasek, authors demonstrate ‘A Macrocyclic Hybrid PET/MRI Probe for Quantitative Perfusion Imaging In Vivo’: 🖇️ https://lnkd.in/dxRQgQSe 📝 With the advent of combined #MRI/#PET systems, the medical #imaging field has been exploring innovative ways to harness the advantages of both techniques. 📍Here, they developed a #macrocyclic bimodal PET/MRI #probe that exhibits kinetic stability comparable to the most stable contrast agents currently used in clinical MRI. The probe allows for convenient direct radiolabeling in the final synthesis step using 18F and works as a hybrid PET/MRI perfusion agent. Dr. Nicholas Kotov along with Dr. Luis M. Liz-Marzán from University of Vigo and Dr. Sara Bals from University of Antwerp have been awarded €9M ($10M) by the European Research Council to develop nanoparticles that recognize proteins. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gpCAHj3N

Scientists from the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications research group and CEPLANT recently completed the installation of the #DCSBD plasma device at the Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Polymerforschung IAP in Potsdam, Germany. The decision to reinstall the device was based on the positive outcomes from their earlier research.   This collaboration is part of the R2R-Net Consortium and was supported by Roplass, a spin-off from Masaryk University. The process was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dusan Kovacik, PhD., and Stefan Kröpke, with the installation handled by researchers Dr. Jakub Kelar and Roman Přibyl.   We look forward to seeing the results of this partnership and wish them success in their work.

I am excited to share that our latest research has been published in the journal Sensors MDPI: "Advancing Thrombosis Research: A Novel Device for Measuring Clot Permeability" 🩸🔬.
