#Connect_and_ExperienceUK2024 successfully immersed 20 top European tech leaders into one of the world's most dynamic tech ecosystems, generating immediate opportunities for collaboration and growth between the EU and the UK. Early in the programme, Katherine Barton from Barton Insights provided actionable strategies to navigate British business culture, empowering participants to foster more effective cross-border collaborations. Midway through, the Sifted Summit enabled access to over 3,000 #startups, #investors, and #ecosystem leaders, strengthening the #EU_UK innovation ecosystems and fostering collaboration opportunities. An investor breakfast panel led by Bindi Karia armed participants with critical knowledge of current trends. Insights from investors like Carlos Sanchez (Mundi Ventures) and Kirsten Connell (Octopus Ventures) were invaluable for understanding the UK investment landscape, and setting the stage for strategic partnerships. The Connect & Experience UK cohort engaged in lively discussions about the UK ecosystem during a Startup Panel led by Andrew Carlin. Founders like Jesus Rodriguez Manzano (ProtonDx) and Ana Maria Pricop (Outdid) shared insights on scaling across borders, securing investment, and leveraging the UK ecosystem. The cohort also explored the transformative #innovation efforts at London Legacy Development Corporation, SHIFT and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with Abdul Rahim (Chief Innovation Officer), fostering regeneration through community engagement, collaboration and tech-driven initiatives. The program ended with a deep dive into one of London's newest innovation hubs, with a tour of London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London and an introduction to Plexal by Catherine Hadfield. Each session equipped attendees with the tools, connections, and insights needed to accelerate cross-border collaboration and innovation between the EU and the UK. This is just the beginning of impactful partnerships driving EU and UK tech growth.

These experts aren't just there to poke holes in the startup idea - they are there to provide genuine feedback and support. Each course will be full of surprises and inspiration for innovation. 2️⃣ How much do featured founders pay to attend? £0. One of our aims is to remove barriers of access for founders and potential founders in meeting game-changing connections for their ventures. For this reason, featured founders attend free of charge. We cover this cost through micro-sponsorships in the form of ticket sales and sponsorship partners. 3️⃣ I've recently raised Pre-Seed funding, does this disqualify me from applying to be a featured founder? No. We welcome founders anywhere between Ideation and MVP regardless of where they are in their funding journey. 4️⃣ How can I attend as an investor or subject matter expert? Earlier in June, Tayla Sheldrake, Managing Director at MotionLab.Ventures, traveled to London to participate in a panel alongside Jochen Zimmermann, Barbara Diehl, and Rob Scheid, discussing potential collaboration opportunities between Germany and the UK’s tech ecosystems.
